[REL] Jungle Platforms

    disclaimer, this map is not completely finished, I would like to add more stuff

    It was also inspired by EroticBurrito's map.


    This is a multi-game mode system [fits all types of armies (even shared), but might not be balanced in terms of starting distances for shared armies]

    Spawning metal is balanced for each spawn in terms of amount.

    I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story:

    There is also a moon that requires 3 hallies to smash. It is very useful to end stalemates.

    Each player spawns on a plateau, and metal is most dense on starting plateaus, although there is some metal on the surface.

    Anyway, I hope you like it!

    Click this link to download the the .zip folder. NOT the one attached to the bottom.

    To install, extract the zip someplace, go to the system editor, then click "import system." Click on the extracted .pas file called "jungle_platforms". It will appear in your planets directory.

    I didnt look at the map data, but units being able to walk on csg like they are flat means the csg is mergable and pathable. There is a hotkey to change that on csgs. Not sure how well it works, but when I did maps via biome creation those flags in itself worked.

    I had to make them path-able because the metal would not be able to be placed there, and you would not be able to spawn there.

    pathable alone should only allow stuff to walk around on the flat parts. Mergable is the attribute that makes units magically walk up walls.

    Fixed land units being able to crawl up the sides of the platforms :)

    Have you attached the latest version ? Because i just got the file and land units are still crawling up the sides of the platforms :(

    With the version linked (not the one attached) to the OP, the units are not able to crawl up the rocks.

    Are you sure you have the version from the updated OP?

    It works perfectly !!!!! Thank you so much man for this map, it's just tons of fun to play !!! If Uber provides the ability to have ramps, then we'll be hitting a high standard !

    You know you can remove attached files from your posts/thread by pressing Edit and then "More Options..", eh? :)
