[Suggestion] announce competitve tournaments ingame

Thanks to all the guys of exodus esports, twitch casters and other involved persons, competitive tournaments like Clan Wars, King of the Planet, December Dead Lock and others are amazing events, that keep the community of PA together. Somethings I think it is quite a pity that there are not more people around to participate/watch them.

My suggestion is quite simple: Wouldn't it be possible to give people of exodus the option to announce their upcoming tournaments in game via the news section, which is currently only used to present the latest stable builds. The news could be pre written and the handed over to you guys at uber. As the tournaments all happen in a reasonable time frame it should not be so much of an extra work. If that isn't possible maybe at least the tournament trailer could be featured as video in the feed (which just got reactivated via the community competition).

Having these two channels of advertisement would be helpful as well for the events, as for the game itself because it's showing everybody how much fun PA is. And any kind of community interaction is a great promotion for the game.

I know you are asking for it in the game itself so this is a little different, but we do already have the exodus esports mod for this. It has news, articles, guides, and an event calendar. It shows a countdown on the main menu when there is an event starting within the next two days. This same mod also adds a new exodus tab to the video list on the menu.

Yes +1 have all the likes an official in-game event schedule would attract many new players to events imo.

The mod is good, however it requires you to have prior knowledge of exodus first, which is unlikely for someone who doesn't frequent the forums.

Yeah I know. I was just putting it here mostly because anyone interested in this thread is probably looking for exactly that.
