Since the ability to area-whatever was introduced to the game, there has been a bug where a selected area won't graphically deselect. Say, like an area patrol you set for some units where the patrol graphic never goes away unless another unit is selected and reappears when nothing is. Will this eeeeeeeever be fixed? :)

That's odd. That should only happen when you have pressed Caps Lock (or if you keep Shift pressed). Could it be a setting you've altered in Settings -> UI?

Nope, and it'll do it randomly. Like 3/10 games or so. It'll usually just be one unit or building, hut it can sometimes start to add up and there may me multiple circles just permanently on the map. Especially annoying when it is a global patrol.

Hmm, next time it happens, can you try pressing both <Shift> keys? It sounds like the game thinks <Shift> is pressed while it's not. If that is true, then pressing all of the <Shift> keys should fix that. Also try the same for <Caps Lock>.

And to be absolutely sure, in Settings -> UI it looks like this, right?

This bug has been around... not forever but a really long time. Regular shift still works, but occasionally one (sometimes more) area attack or other circle effect will get permanently stuck on. It's like the game forgets to turn it off.

Oh, huh. I've never noticed that one before. Weird.
