I already know how to make smoke and something like the nuke explosion (although it's no where near as fluffy) and so I'm wondering how to get this into PA since it's not the same thing as a regular model, and the nuke explosion is a .papa file.

This is primarily directed to @bgolus , so how do I get a simulated smoke box into PA after making it in Blender, most of all how do I convert it to a .papa file (I'm assuming it's much different from regular models)

Also, what program was used to make the nuke explosion?

Maybe I should do a post on how the nuke smoke actually works, but it's not a smoke simulation at all. The papa files that are used are simple torus, bell, and cone mesh shapes. The smoke look comes from fairly simple panning bubble textures that I use to displace the mesh surface.

A simulation like what you're doing is best represented with a flip book texture. You can find a ton of examples on how to convert a smoke simulation into a flip book or sprite sheet online. The process for PA is identical.

Ok i'll go check some of that out, and yeah looks like a flipbook thing would be much more convenient for this kind of quick flash.

But I still have one question:
The flipbook texture used for the jig explosion is also a .papa file (i think), how would I convert something similar to a .gif into a .papa file like this?

I'd assume by using papatran. A quick search around the forum should help you figure out how to use it.

That's an interesting ship there... kinda like a cross between a leviathan and a vehicle factory...

Looks like the fire from the original Age of Empires games :p

Sure it looks much better in game than as a freeze frame though.

Probably due to the annoying leviathan bug, where the model teleporters around.
