This is a physics-based game where you build weapons to surpass Metal Gear medieval siege weaponry to destroy castles, villages and other things filled with squishy mortals.

Currently in early alpha (and pretty cheap), but it already looks really cool.

this video was tough to watch because I could think of a billion better ideas for each level and I couldn't think of anything worse than what he did :/

still he had fun which made me want to buy it.

apparently they have an issue with linux right now :
but that isn't slowing me down.

had too much fun with crashtastic.

Anyone remember the final level where you had to drop him on a platform high above your head?

I actually have a success timer of 0.05 seconds for that one.

I built an empire state building positioning the person right on the platform and dropping him from the chair. x'D

He made really stupid contraptions because that's what he does in physics games where you build stuff, he likes to have fun with it and not take the obvious route. :D

    goddamn this is addictive.

    CataGun is best gun

that's quite the opposite of the truth. his things were rather on the obvious side of things if such a thing exists in simulation games and I don't believe that to be true. take a look at my catagun. would you call that "obvious"?

No it most certainly is true, watch him play anything else. He likes to do the silly thing, not only because it's silly, but because people watching like to watch him make silly things.

He's also played Crashtastic, crayon (something idk), and many really crappy simulator games, and it's pretty hilarious antics. =P

I mean obvious might not have been the best word, here... he likes to take the unconventional route!

so basically your telling me he's like every let's play posting youtuber ever...

no. "unconventional" is not the right word either. I'm afraid your quest doesn't end here.

    "conformist", sure.

What if he just letimately likes to have stupid fun in games? I'd probably do some of the same thing.

Edit: Heck he doesn't even do let's plays of normal games because he thinks it'd be boring (as he's said himself), he plays old p2 games and other rreally odd games and makes them quite popular. I mean he even did a video of skate 3 that somehow turned out to be so ppopular that they just happened to start making copies of skate 3 again, what a coincidence.

Why must youtubers always be deemed evil or fakes, why can't they just be some guy that likes to play games and happens to have a talent at entrtaining others? =/

Let's face it squishy. The most fun you can have in skateboarding games is attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm on the player-character and screwing with the inevitably notquiteright(tm) physics engine.

hey I have nothing against youtubers.

I aspire to be one myself.

I'm making it a prime focus to find out what I must do to not pump out more of the same and thusly make something good.

so how do you beat the max size constraint in Besiege?

    .....you make tranformers.

    you want the model file?

you'll be able to do more with it since linux versions doesn't have the projectile holder and windows has that plus the firery ball

For a game in alpha 0.01 it looks quite good actually. It's been greenlit on steam, so i'm just going to wait for some more stuff and a steam version. But it looks good.

any game that can run on Windows linux and mac in alpha 0.01 is amazeballs.

it doesn't run that good. i never get any lag. (appart for when i use 24 exploding bombs ^=^) but it makes my graphic card overheat. the fans go wild and make a butt-ton of noise.

while my GPU is usually at around 54°C Besiege brings it to 87-90°C

    oh....

nevermind we don't have the same levels at all. Linux version is really old. I think they simply made the final level impassable because they don't have anything beyond in that version
