So I was playing on this custom map, and sent some bombers over to an enemy base so I could spot 'n' snipe the commander. However for some reason they got a bit confused and just sort of diddled about while the first few rows got picked off by AA.

I think this has something to do with the move order because later when I regrouped and issued an attack command to my "Elite Bomber Snipe" air division, they made a beeline for the target and it all worked out.

Oh and also air units land on lava, because apparently the fuselage is made of "spacemagicum":

Something you will note about most units is if you move them with a regular move command they will try to maintain a grid-like formation. This applies to air as well, although because of their movement mechanics it gets a bit wonky. You can bypass the formation thing by ctrl-clicking for the move command. This means all aircraft will turn and move as fast as they are able to (similar to how they behave when issued an attack order).

ctrl-click is also useful for ground units because if you have dox and tanks selected the dox will move at full speed instead of staying with the tanks.

EDIT: Btw, this does not deal with the case that the bombers pause because of a csg forcing them to change height or something.

That might be what was going on, since it was a custom map.

Oh and I also had some weird issues with my mouse cursor getting stuck as if the laser in it was being screwy. But it's never happened before, hasn't happened since and I checked the mouse and all was well.
