Hi Team Uber, Recently I need help and Michelle Krater told me that I could be helped here. What's Happen...every time I going to start Planetary Annihilation Steam show me this error "Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)" I follow steps in the Steam but cannot be resolved, so I did download the files for Linux and again cannot be resolved....could you please help me for this issue? I would like play this game Sincerely.
Can you find the game files? I am not sure where Steam stores them since I don't use it, though I think you set it yourself. Anyway, it you find the game directory of PA, could you post the output of Code: ls -l I'm wondering if it may be a permission problem or maybe zero byte files.

Well, that looks really odd. According to that PA is a directory and not an executable? The programs server, papadump and server and crashupload don't have executable permissions set either. Could you try verifying the integrity of the game cache? See https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
Yes, PA is a Folder where are the files...and after your question about permissions I set full permissions.....the archives are ok!
Oh? So what's inside the PA folder. The PA executable? For comparison, my (non-Steam) PA directory looks like this: Code: total 573740 -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 14 jan 12 21:20 buildid.txt drwxrwxr-x 3 user user 4096 oct 1 23:41 Coherent -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 9722 jan 6 09:45 Coherent_UI.log -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 553489 jan 12 21:18 crashupload drwxrwxr-x 4 user user 4096 oct 4 23:32 host -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 1222960 déc 19 21:02 libCoherentUI.so -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 561576 oct 4 13:11 libfmodevent64-4.44.35.so -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 756182 nov 25 19:35 libfmodevent64-4.44.44.so -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 611792 oct 4 13:12 libfmodeventnet64-4.44.35.so -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 821071 jan 12 21:20 libfmodeventnet64-4.44.44.so -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 1487488 oct 6 21:29 libfmodex64-4.44.35.so -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 1762652 jan 12 21:19 libfmodex64-4.44.44.so -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 69867 jan 12 21:21 libsteam_api.so -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 7654 déc 17 20:41 licenses.txt drwxrwxr-x 9 user user 4096 oct 9 19:24 media -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 222544251 jan 12 21:20 PA -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 4108882 déc 17 20:39 papadump -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 17397681 déc 17 20:39 papatran -rwxrwxr-x 1 user user 335521999 jan 12 21:28 server drwxrwxr-x 3 user user 4096 oct 4 13:12 steam-runtime -rw-rw-r-- 1 user user 6 jan 12 21:21 version.txt Did it work after verifying? If not, could you try: Code: ~/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh ./PA from inside the directory where the PA executable lives?
I Change the folder files to the default I did downlod a few moments ago: "steam /.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Planetary Annihilation" I did the verify integrity of game cache and the files it is fine see below it's right the command? dexters/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh: line 20: /.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Planetary Annihilation/PA: Success
I think it should be Code: ~/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Planetary Annihilation/PA/PA That is, if I understood everything you said correctly. I'm also curious what happens when you run steam from the command-line and try to start PA from within Steam. So, open the terminal and just type "steam" and try to run PA as you normally would. Do errors appear in the terminal window? I tried searching for that error on the Internet and it seems to be a common occurrence for many games...
Please copy and paste your system information in this topic: In Steam window -> top menu bar -> click "Help" -> click "System Information" Though my personal guess: you're running 32-bit OS while this game don't support 32-bit on Linux and won't support ever. PS: As you may see on SteamDB there is no launch config for 32-bit. https://steamdb.info/app/233250/config/
Yes you understood all I say to you...I hope that you understood me Before contact Team Uber I tried run the Steam in terminal but is not showing nothing I re-install sometimes, but the issue still remains, I don't know to do I searching all time for this problem on the Internet but I cannot find the solution

Your CPU likely supports a 64-bit OS though. It has to be really old for it not to. If you type Code: cat /proc/cpuinfo you'll see what your processor is, so you can look up if it supports 64-bit or not. If it does, then you just need to install a 64-bit version of Linux.
Hi Team Uber! Good afternoon! I install Ubuntu 14.04.1 64-bits in my desktop but now I'm notified with the follow message "Fatal Error: It Appears that your graphics drivers and/or hardware are missing critical OpenGL Capabilities. If this error persists after updating your drivers and confirming that your hardware supports OpenGL 3.2, please contact Team Uber for additional help. Error details: unable to start graphics system: Could not create GL context" Could you please help me? Many Thanks in advanced and Best Regards!

According to this info, you also have a 32-bit operating system, namely: "elementary OS Freya (32 bit)". PA will only work on 64-bit on Linux. You could get around that by installing the 64-bit version of the OS, but I noticed that you only have 2GB of RAM. It seems rather unlikely you'll get PA running smoothly on that because the minimum requirement is at least 4GB for PA (And 8GB for PA: Titans). If you want to try anyway, a 64-bit version is available of Freya on the elementary website. Of course you should check first to see if your CPU supports 64-bit in the first place. If you type Code: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep name it will output the model name of your CPU, which you can then use in the Intel website to look up if it supports 64-bit. They almost always do unless your CPU is really ancient.
