Reporting System needed!

*face palms* I'm not saying censor the game chat but if a player is reported they get a timed ban I myself use "swear words" in games not in a abusive way but a friendly way (usually with friends who I talk to and play with at that time) just because we are having fun so really censorship is the last thing I we need.

Why not just have a way to disable in game chat per player option in game, like a tick box on/off. That way, if 1x person out of the 5x players playing in your game are a baddie, block their chat. Problem solved.

Freedom of speech sure but abusive language no. You can't abuse your powers of freedom of speech.

Someone being a toxic flamer in game is not a good thing. Even if you know how to handle it does not mean that it is enjoyable to have to deal with. I can handle someone telling me that I am faggot because I beat them in a 1v1 but it annoys me because it displays bad sportsmanship. A system in place to punish bad sportsmanship is what is needed.

By the way I won the game but he still made me wait 3 minutes after he left which refers to his last line.

Really guys, I can't stress enough, the PA community is a great one. It's better than most other communities with more than 1k people active in it I've likely ever seen. However, that's the general community, within that, there are some real jerks and they need to be dealt with. To prevent revenge, or unjustified reporting, just have them upload a valid screenshot. If they aren't willing to do that, then it must not have been all that bad. Once they're reported to Uber, I don't really care how it's handled. It's not our discretion and it will vary case by case so whomever is handling it (I hope it isn't you @mkrater I'll feel bad you'll have to see the jerks of the internet more than you do ) will find the appropriate solution.

@perfectdark If you find any sort of harassment or bullying ok, you should consider why people don't like it, and why it affects people strong enough to make them want to avoid online matches.
Further along your posts, you mention: "Nobody is going to quit the game because somebody was a **** to them," well on the forums, people have quit from believing that they are being unfairly treated and/or harassed. Nobody wants to stay in an environment that they aren't comfortable with, and eventually people will leave.

@jimosfear Uber can most certainly ban players from a game they bought. If it violates the terms of service contract that we all agreed to by creating an Ubernet account and playing PA, then them be the breaks. Since there isn't a report tool, 1, 2 and 4 of your points work. Even when there is one, they work, but never number 3; insulting them back is just becoming a part of the problem, even if they deserve it.

I agree that a reporting system is needed. LOL allow other players to view the moderation queue to help reduce the load on uber. I'm sick of the homophobic nonsense I see in game.

I think I played this guy last night. Did the same ****. Got mad I was beating him, Dropped a few F Bombs, called me a faggot and then DCed to make me wait 3 minutes.

Oh well, I'll take it as a compliment, but I agree that there needs to be a bit more than just muting someone.

Since certain "People" like to throw out some "Accusations" around here, I really hope Uber adds in a report feature so that they can check logs of chats, rather than listen to people throwing out Witch hunts because they got their asses handed to them.

1. Screenshots can be doctored easily and would not be required as chat logs can easily be saved on the server.
2. The forum is for talking, if you don't like the talk going on then you'll leave. The game is for playing, I can't see why anyone would ever quit playing a game they don't like what someone said to them.
3. Why ever ban players? just mute them if anything.
