Was wondering if there is a mod out for reversing the the mouse zoom and pan. The game default is killing me. It is the opposite of my cad program. It is really screwing with my brain.
This is not likely as zoom it's one of features that handled by engine itself and not UI. So it's can't be modified via JavaScript.
Thanks for the reply. That is disapointing. I can not believe how much it screws me up while I am working.
it's unfortunate that you've sided with the leftie way of scrolling. there should be an option to choose, that is definitely true I'll just take a minute to point out your choices here are in no way backed by a majority these are the defaults for CAD you switched them. only MAC also has this leftie approach for scrolling up and down on websites. otherwise what we have here on PA is the standard for any browser on windows or linux, the zoom in and out for photoshop, and the rest of the Adobe suite, for Supreme Commander and FA. as well as every other RTS. It might do you good to use this as it really is derived not from a conformity but brainworks : If the mouse was on your screen (which sometimes is mere centimetres away) you push up when that's the direction you want to go and down when that's where you want to go.
Maybe make or ask for someone to make a mod? Obviously not a complete fix but may help in the short term?
http://www.idganswers.com/question/...rection-of-mouse-wheel-scrolling-in-windows-7 just switch it when you play PA. Little annoying but I remap my extra mouse buttons every time I play, is way better even if it takes a few seconds extra.
I use Catia and Visi Vero 3D software Auto Cad is about 10 years behind the major 3D programs and no the zoom is set at default to software. I have been using the above mentioned software for 15 years gave up on mechanical desktop when CNC machining began. You are correct that PA is using the standard mouse zoom for most games; however most of them have an option to invert. I do remember when I first started with 3D I had the same complaint about the cad software but over the years I found it best not to customize keyboard and mouse. They update every year and I spend several days trying to get it back to the previous version. lot of work lost and many colorful words LOL.
In the game settings : no Natively in Windows OSes : only by changing registry entries or using 3rd party programs like autohotkey Natively on Mac : Yes there's a setting you do have to wonder why CAD program designers decided to ignore a widely used convention.
