so i bought PA on steam because it was 80% off, i was planning to buy it when i get a better pc because i dont have a really good one (but i can play on low settings) but when i started a game, all icons (unit and iron icons) were (and still are) black boxes. i have been searching on the internet trying to fix it and some people have had the same problem, they said the drivers were outdated so i updated mine, i downloaded the newest versions from internet but it didnt work (or i just did something stupid here) and it caused a lot of trouble and made it worse so i had to do a systemrestore(if it is called like that, my windows is set on dutch). so i tried to update them by using the control panel and going to device manager but it said it was already up to date. i tried reinstalling PA but that didnt work either. laptop= hp pavillion g7 CPU=Intel Core I5-2430M dual core with integrated GPU Intel HD Graphics 3000 dedicated GPU=Radeon HD 6470M im on windows 7 im not so good with all this stuff, but i set PA to high-performance at CCC so it must be using the dedicated GPU i also tried using an icon mod but that didnt work
First of all please upload your DxDiag.txt. Only way to update drivers it's via official websites of Intel and AMD, no other way will work. What you need to do is: Remove both Intel and AMD drivers using Windows Control Panel. Remove for both "Display Adapters " via "Uninstall" in "Device Manager". Install latest Intel drivers from Intel website. To install drivers download and install "win64_152822.exe" from Intel website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23764 If you get "not validated for this computer" error download ZIP version of driver ("win64_152822.zip") from same page and then install it using this instruction: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558749190911446231/ ... Then install latest AMD drivers.
