Is there seriously no reconnect option for 1v1 rank?! Just spent half an hour playing, and that's all wasted.
maybe the server crashed? Ranked actually is supposed to automatically pause the game and wait 180s for a player to reconnect before the win is given to the player still ingame. Also why is that half an hour wasted? Was it no fun to play?
It just quit, told me it was returning to the main menu due to connection lost to the server. My net is fine though, so i went to re-match to re-connect, no option. It just made me matchmake again. Pretty annoyed at that.
If your connection is fine there almost 100% guarantee it's was server crash. I never had PA server disconnect me for whatever reason.
I meant for players, or else it wastes all of our time when it happens, and it shouldn't be like that.
I'd just be happy it won't affect your rank since it didn't finish. What do you expect them to do? It's only a waste if you didn't enjoy it at all, or gain any knowledge.
Well it needs to tell you if it counted or not, and preferably find a way to reconnect you at the closest possible time. Not just spew out an error and send you to the main menu, i think that's pretty terrible behaviour.
If the server crashes, that's it. No reconnecting ever. All data lost on that match. Maybe it should be clearer that it's a crash and not a disconnect, but if it crashes, it can't do more than spew out an error message and try to return you to the main menu.
There is not much it can do in case of a server crash. The server is gone. It won't report anything and the game isn't there anymore. "lost connection to the server" is the appropiate message to give, as it is the only thing that the client can know about the issue.
