    that's what I was trying to say.

    I believe the contrary.

    ??? still rather flaberghasted as to how you manage to play offline .... I mean.... you really unplugged the ethernet cable/turned off wifi?

    wow.

    so how did it play out? do you have a replay file to evaluate the size of the game?

    I play offline regularly on a fairly average laptop.

    @optimi this is rather surprising. I didn't think PA had come this far optimisations-wize.

    how's the game speed?

    I usually get around 30fps with no sim slowdowns, but I usually play only 1v1s on small systems.

    System size is drastically important.

    Oh, definitely. Larger systems are still playable for me but it's a pretty massive performance hit.

    Two things wrong with the OP:
    1. Polls on their own do nothing but stir up emotions and opinions. Most of the time (e.g. in politics) they're just used with weirdly phrased questions to produce garbage data that sounds factual, such as "75% of French citizens believe ketchup was invented in Bolivia".

    2. Monthly is just too long and slow for my tastes. (That's what he said. :D)

    I played on some pretty ridiculous system sizes, with 3 or 4 planets on 1300 size

    @bengeocth @Dementiurge
    point taken :p here's my point, dismissing them as skewed, and then having none is worse than having one opinion summarised.

    I just think it would set things in motion, and increase community-dev interaction.

    that's just my two cents.
