All I want for the spring patch: multiplayer polish and balance

    Agree on everything else in your post, stongly disagree with this!
    Hornet-AI is stupid as hell, but turn out strong with even little micro! If you use the whole APM-Power of one player on Hornets, you can just wipe away everything. And Kestrels are the perfect guardians for Planets of every size between 300 and 1000, cause the only thing that can REALLY counter them are hummingbirds. And how does an enemy invading your planet gets hummingbirds? Right, with fabbers building air fabs. What takes them in no time? Kestrels. You wanna protect them? Doesn´t work, as Kestrels are perfect at killing masses of Tier I and there isn´t any non-naval Tier II Anti-Air!

    Ranked share army games=perfect way to do this! I just wanna hit a button and wait for other teams to join in instead of playing against some that even don´t chat while playing share army!

    All I got to say is if Uber ever wants to do a kickstarter again they must prioritize KS commitments over anything else. GW is missing 4 (co-op for local play, clan wars servers, dynamic story system, and online multiplayer mega-battles) of the features from the KS and only 2 (procedurally generated galaxy map and single player) of the features are present.

    I can't get a game that doesn't have at least one UI failure where i have to exit and restart the game and rejoin .....when it's not a regular thing throughout the duration of the game.

    I doubt it's only me.

    this is on a freshly installed ubuntu, freshly installed PA, no mods (not even a mod folder or PAMM installed)

    Yes, yes, I agree, balance and multiplayer fixes should be a priority for the next patch.

    And Galactic War after that?

    ... and asteroids after that? :p

    I would put this on the list of major features to be added once the core lobby/multiplayer experience is ironed out. Big summer/late spring patch after we've ironed out the last huge wave of bugs and put more customization into lobbies.

    It is inevitable that any request thread will fill up with a lot of variation. But I do think there is something close to consensus in terms of priorities: we need a huge multiplayer polish and balance update before any new features are added. Let's get the core strong now.

    That's the assumption but only Uber knows.
    +Sing, Documentary, Geothermal plants, liquid metal processing mines, flowing lava, First class support for naval, great support for water, ice asteroids, subs, and amphibious units. Plus previously mentioned missing GW features.

    That might be the list you wish for (?) but I doubt that is the list of stuff that really is a list of stuff to yet come into the game.

    This is not my list I'm only holding Uber Ent to what they stated during the kickstarter. It is their mess to deal with.;)

    Thanks for reminding me! I've been one of the first to follow up everything up when the page was first set up at Kickstarter, but with the time between it I forgot some stuff. :(

    I'm quite hyped for all these features that have to come yet, but when I think of it it is very sad that they didn't make it for the final release.

    I also read again they also had plans to make next to co op some live servers where you can jump in an ongoing galactic wars and try to destroy everything! :eek:

    EDIT: Oh and this:
    • Dynamic story system that logs your fight and generates exciting counter attacks and special missions that up the challenge level

    here is the thing ... optimisation and bugfixing as well as ballancing are a ongoing thing .. so i personaly am not too worried about this to cease anytime soon ..
    i rather like to see galactic war vastly improved simply to get and keep more players in general from which some may get into multiplayer aswell ... this also adds to the core and thus shall not be neglected nor overlooked ...

    I don't really like to play against humans, I am more a campaign guy or someone who does co-op against the AI or co-op in a campaign. Currently I also only spectate matches, I play the Galactic Wars and I play AI fights in multiplayer.

    One of the things that hyped me the most to get the game from the moment it came to Steam (I didn't back because I wasn't sure if the game would come to Steam, and I only play Steam games) was the Galactic Wars and all its advanced features: but atm it's not so advanced. :(

    So yea, I want some major updates to it!

    I would really like some more valance between units, tanks can sum this up nicely and so can t2 bots to a point. Most of the units actually have a use within them which is extremely nice but air is lacking on many levels, naval and limited. Bots need to have more use in the battlefield. Strata mod did this perfectly with long range units (forget the name)

    Also some public server that are open left empty idling in the multilayer menu because it would be easy for people to just join and play.
