    ...would a robotic millipede commander be completely AWESOME.

    I mean, really, who DOESN'T want their base to be annihilated by a long robotic commander with hundreds of legs? me

    Just imagining that slithering around my buildings... yikes.

    Well the joke was the guy wasn't asking for a super unit persay, he was asking for a Millipede commander.

    Anyway super units are pretty sweet, but I'm not too confident in how Uber would handle their balance...

    yepp attacking the community helps getting your ideas and wishes through
    once again you show that you are not a good spokesperson for that ...
    no one is against experinentals per se but it is that their implementation must be different from your average pump out units and throw them in a general direction strategy ... many experimentals in FA have no depth they were merely larger versions of existing unittypes of the lower tiers ...

    to me that is not true variety but just eyecandy

    because not everyone is a modder ... and not everyone has the time to learn it ... neither is everyone that intrested to learn it ... does that now mean those poeple can not express their wishes?

    Its one lilittle value in the movement section of a unit's code. Something like "force full turn" (please excuse me, I'm a most certain I completely botched that value up. XD

    They were very very different than other units. In fact I'd argue they had _too much depth_. They did too many things, I'd like it more if they had more of a refined role.

    their primary is heavy assault .. as are t3 bots and seraphimtank ..
    they all share heavy weapons high hp and being able to travel through water .. yea 2 of them are watercombatcappable with one additional being rather bad at it i give you that but for the most part assaulting is their main ... and dont give me lisk and fatboyfabrication ... that is more a gimmick than anything ...

    you'd have trouble holding that up with even @KNight and @nanolathe

    the monkelord is a stealthed unit with main weapon range just beyond enemy line of sight.

    very low health and cheapest in the game.

    The worst yet the best.

    great intrigue and irony to begin with.

    it is the hitmaking unit, a tad faster than the commander, you don't see it comming and you can't run away from it.

    very good with dps, manages to rack up kills fast that keep it going for a bit in combat despite it's low health.

    The fatboy

    is it a big tank?

    can't say tank shells ark like that, very dodgeable shots. a long range arty then?

    noooo not with that rate of fire and toned down range.

    it is the only experimental that wears a shield and thus has complex HP.

    rather easy to kill if you have a high dps weapon. 3 tml will do, it's too slow to dodge: that's it's main characteristic.

    close range it's has machine guns. want to go up close and personal since you can dodge it's arty shots and overcharge it like you did the monkeylord? not a good idea. it will shred you HP with the machine guns.

    oh but it also docks and repairs aircraft and builds t3, t2 and t1 land units? talk about a swiss knife.....

    still my least favourite XP, it is, in my opinion, the easiest to kill.

    The Galactic Collosus. (GC)

    EG the towering gigantic alien humanoid shaped mecha that shots a constant lazor out of it's eye and tramples stuff.

    It's iconic, and not because of supreme commander. I think iron giant, war of the worlds and a number of other movies will have created the expectation for AT LEAST one such unit in the game.

    I don't really see any unit under the experimental tier that can be compared to it. it's absolutely unique.

    heck it's the only one in the entire game that uses magnet-grappling on units. ..The possibility is there in the game engine, for that one unit.

    The Ythotha (which you called sera collosus)

    here's where it gets interesting.... : ) ythotha and GC are as complimentary as tank and arty.

    one beats the other depending on what you do

    GC has a unique constant stream of high dps while ythotha has several lower dps types, most intermittent and one that is really high but very slow.

    the two were made for each other by how well they add to game depth.

    EDIT: oh and ion storm, how the hell could I foget that?

    yhtotha upon dying (and even when under construction but then it lasts less) leaves behind an electric ball that isn't under the control of anyone and that zaps things and moves around at random HUGE dps, but randomly distributed.

    this makes the Ythotha the ultimate firebase-breaking unit becase all you have to do is charge and the Ion Storm (untargettable) will do the rest. /EDIT

    the soulripper .....well you won't get me to fanboy too hard here, mainly because I never liked how it looks.

    sure it looks original.. ...too original ..wtf?

    anyways, it does indeed function like a really hard to kill gunship with tons of burst dps. but it's alot of fun to play with.

    albeit it's lack of stealth it does have sniping predispositions as per the high dps and the fact it is airborne and rather fast making it possible to surprise someone with and no running away possible.

    Ultimately, we can all agree that PA has more then enough room for more units.
