Tanks are OP... Please Nerf

    They Need either a armour reduction. Massive range reduction maybe by a third.
    Definitely a reduction of line of sight. Reduction in damage of main gun.
    They need to take longer to build or cost significantly more in metal and energy.
    The game is either dox or tanks, with tanks turning the game into a borefest! a Planetery Borefest.
    Game run down: build some tanks, grab a coffee send said tanks to the enemy base, check in with wife,
    do some house chores, tanks arive at enemy base, win game. reque....

    Disagree. T1 tanks vs bots are in a great place. Infernos, grenadiers, and combat fabs all need slight buffs, but ants and doxs feel good right now. The tank is the core of any army, something has to be. If you nerf it we go right back to dox domination days. Economy tweaks focusing on bringing back T2 to the average game and a buff to non-dox bots should do it.

    The mid-game issue of whoever has more tanks wins is a problem because there are only two useful ground-ground units in the game. The fix to the problem is not nerfing tanks, but making units such as grenadiers useful and perhaps adding a couple new units.

    Completely true. Interesting to note however that when you play on Hot Platforms (spent all weekend there), the abundant chokes and turtling actually flip things around so you have to rush T2. But all that means is tanks, dox, snipers, and shellers are useful. Still pretty bad.

    Dox harass phase.
    Bolo beat Dox phase.
    Grenadier beat Bolo phase.
    Inferno beat Grenadier phase.
    Boom beat Inferno phase.
    Slammer beat Boom phase.
    Leveler beat Slammer phase.
    Bluehawk beat Leveler phase.
    Gil-E beat Bluehawk phase.
    Vanguard beat Gil-E phase.
    Sheller beat Vanguard phase.
    Anchor beat Sheller phase.
    SXX beat Anchor phase.
    Nuke beat SXX phase.
    ...et cetera.

    How can you think that tanks are in the correct place atm, are we playing the same game?
    We need tanks to come into the game latter part of the early game, to at latest early part of the mid game.
    This allows for the raiding part of the game to develop some.
    Building tanks straight up should be a lost game.
    All of the voices in my head have discussed and analysed the tank balance extensively and we agree unanimously that the balance of tanks atm is wack!

    Ech, being able to go only bots first would be so boring. It is possible to go only air, only tanks, and only bots and win in each case, if your opponent doesn't react. You can fairly easily counter mass ants with booms if you so choose, and you can (kind of) counter infernos with dox, if you micro well enough. Also depending on your build you can shut down an opponent with only dox before you build your eco sometimes making them gg right away.

    Ah so this thread is troll bait then is it?.

    Tanks aren't OP and can be countered very easily if you scout.
    Are you upset maybe because you have lost games due to a lack of scouting then
    you let your opponent get a deathball of tanks and destroy you?.
    Everything is OP when you know how to use it effectively

    I think the t1 tanks are just fine. Refer to old patch when tanks were weaker. Span bots till you hit 80 then charge base game over.

    You can counter Tanks easily with air and if that fails boom bots or artillery bots.
    The fact is Tanks aren't op people just don't scout enough and even i don't.

    Tanks are too dominant arrive too early in game and dont require much sheeparding
    creating decisive easy win with with out map controll.
    We though of a great solution: Increase cost of veh Factory by x 2.
    Timer set for No tanks can be built prior to the 12 min mark

    I think you re just playing against players who arn't as good as you :)

    Set tanks to build, then go afk, come back and then win? Maybe against nubs :p

    You do realise that'd nerf all units in the vehicle factory?

    Though that's besides the point... tanks are certainly not OP, I'm feeling pretty good with ant/dox balance right now.

    I ask, is this because its your go to unit?
    If it is.....
    That makes tanks OP
