A little frustrated...

    Fine.. rephrase - From an experience earlier today the AI seems incomplete.
    - The planets - are awesome - however it's still seems to me that the base gameplay mechanics can too easily be passed off as a gimmick by some people, I want the game to be more compelling.
    - The interface - Namely orbital - needs work.


    - Off the point - I'd like to see some better features for referencing other post on other threads in the forum, for someone as busy as I am, coming back to the forum only every 6 months or so I see loads of redundant posts and it take far too long to find the good stuff. Point about this problem - emraldis or anybody - have you seen "for example" my past posts on Mega-units? I want to know how effective this forum is at getting down to the important topics.

    Who gets to decide which topics are important?

    Mega units have been discussed ad infinatum and the general consensus seems to be that they do not fit in with the rest of the game. In PA, the super units are the planet-destroyers.

    you gotta admit they look sexy in mods though :p.

    Even just aesthetically, the game looks alot better with more unit size variety

    The duration of a game depends more on the size of the system then on the number of players. More and bigger planets = more territory = generally a longer game to complete. (So when given the option I select games with the highest player number and the smallest planet number )
    Having played 30 and 40 player games, on a small system, they did not seem to take any longer then normal games on such system. The lag was another matter and I do wonder how it preforms with the latest build :)

    That I don't disagree with - I was more pointing out that it's very difficult to pull out a topic that has been around since before Alpha out and call it 'the most important'.

    if i had to class something as most importand i would chose improving gallactic war ... simply because it is the single player experience ... improving it would help getting more players to it in general even though the game is more multiplayerskirmishbased ...
    ballancing and optimising online multiplayer is an always ongoing thing so i am not worried about it ... i think it is almost were it needs to be ...
    but galactic war needs some serious work asap ... along with modding as it seems to be still limited ...
