There's over 6000 games on sale, all of them for two weeks (plus shorter flash sales).

Steam do this every year at Christmas.

I know, but I meant the 66% on PA for two weeks ;)

My point was it's not desperation or even unusual. This is a completely normal thing.

Nope, I just meant the 66% for such a long time. Most games I've bought have like 33% during 2 weeks and a 75% for one day ;)

I think its good. The cheaper it is, the more likely people are to try it even tough they may not know it. Then, since its 2 weeks, they even got time to play it, tell their friends about it and maybe those friends also buy it to play together.

60$ games go 95% during these winter sales, that's how I got a four pack of Payday 2 for like 6$

Were those games RTSs? I suspect each company has its own sales data suggesting what works best for their products. You'll see point & click adventures use 66% as a minimum, some sit at 75%.

Yikes, the amount of not recommended reviews on the bottom of PA doesn't look really good. There are only 2 recommended ones on the front page.

I should probably warn you that the Payday devs are DLC crazy on an EA level. So just grab all that while it's cheap unless you want to be buying meh heists for $7 each.

The review system in steam is broken, this is not just in reference to PA reviews, I've seen other reviews on other games, 400 hours played, not recommended.....wut

The review system is just fine; a critique from a player with 400 hours…is worth a lot of weight. As of today PA is considered, mostly positive…7,551 review 5,506 positive 2,045 negative. Civilization: Beyond Earth, a triple a title is mixed…6,296 reviews 3,536 positive 2,760 negative. While major critics laud CBE, the steam community flames it. That is the nature of Steam.

It's also worth noting that if you filter by more recent reviews, the percentage of positive reviews is higher. Or at least, looking at the weeks most recent reviews shows a page of predominantly positive reviews.

I understand it carries wait, but that 400 hours to what $/£/E 20-30 is massive value for money, hell it cost me £15 to see a film at the cinema for only 2-3 hours.

He or she played the game, and for quite a while. If the player had demanded a refund, I would understand your point and agree. I played Empire Total War for 314 hours, and I don’t recommend it. I have played PA for over 56 hours, on my GF steam account; our total time played is 276 hours. Neither of us would recommend it.
