Tell me movies to watch, I've got time to kill. Sci fi, action/adventure, animated are all good. Just no romances or horror or gorefests like Saw. Here's a few I've seen recently to help filter things: Star Trek (reboot) Star Trek Into Darkness Robocop (the new one) Frozen (don't judge me) Star Trek: Wrath of Khan The Dark Knight Returns (holy crap that was darker than all of Nolan's Batman films combined) The Hunger Games The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Literally every modern superhero movie. Oh and only if it's had a DVD release because to hell with overpriced cinemas and going outside. Well... I have to go outside to get the movie but it's not as far.
I think you would like Snowpiercer. It's a futuristic movie about people living on a self-sustaining train because the earth is frozen.
Oh yeah I've heard about that. Haven't been in the mood for anything too serious recently though. But it's on my list.
The hobbit movies. Edge of Tomorrow Oblivion also you can order movies online (as DVD/Bray) so you technically don't even have to leave the house
Seen Hobbit 1/2 and will see the third on Boxing day I've heard good things about it. It's on my maybe pile. Eh... I already know the plot and it sounds really meh.
Let's see then, you don't want serious, horror, romance, or cheese. Guardians of the Galaxy Cabin in the Woods Dark Crystal Arrietty(japanese cartoon) I'd recommend Box Trolls but it's still in theaters.
It's Joss Whedon. The man who wrote the screenplay for The Avengers, Toy Story(the first one), Firefly, and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Horror movie is the setting, not the genre. I avoided it for a while because I wasn't looking for a horror movie. It's not one. EDIT: Holy crap, you haven't seen The Dark Crystal.
Frozen wasn't that bad, why would you be judged? Also... ARE YOU SAYING YOU HAVEN'T SEEN CABIN IN THE FREAKING WOODS!? HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE WATCHED CABIN IN THE WOODS? THAT MOVIE WAS ******* AMAZING. *ah-hem*, apart from that, I would kind of recommend Noah. It's not perfect, but it's decent at the very least. Also it has the crazy nuke sword of death, which is like the most batshit action scene in cinematic history. Also, speaking of movies, is anyone else really sad about the cancellation of "The Interview" thanks to those hackers? That movie looked so stupid, but the good kind of stupid.
Because I think it's better than Amazing Spiderman 2? Eh... I don't really care for biblical stories no matter how loose the adaption is plus I saw the CinemaSins video so in a way I've kind of already seen it.
Oh wow, I knew Regal and AMC chose not to play it, but I didn't realize they cancelled the Dec 25th release. It sounds like it's not fully cancelled yet. I wonder if they'll need to change the ending....
Lots of people thought the movie was in the top 10 this year. Hell, Let it Go was a Billboard top 10 hit in the U.S. for like a month or something. You know how often movie tracks get featured on Billboard? Not often. Also I wouldn't call Noah a "loose adaptation", it's more "someone got high and thought he was reading Noah's Ark when he was actually reading Lord of the Rings" but it's true that most biblical movies are less than great. Oh, and you've probably already watched it but War Games was also really good. I just watched it a few days ago and godDAMN.
