    So, does the new PTE change make it easier or harder to defend against unit cannon? I'm specifically talking about the removal of ground aa being able to target unit cannon units, instead being targeted by umbrellas...

    I'd guess that umbrellas are much harder to spam than air fighters.

    But orbital fighters and anchors stack?

    Well true, as a 1vs1 player I tend to not consider orbital units a lot, but I guess in a late game where a unit cannon is used people probably have those as well.

    Ways easier, as the umbrellas seem to be pretty good at that job!

    I'm not sure, but I think only umbrellas can hit the unit cannon pods.

    Because they have a 'specialised' weapon for it right?

    I remember that, And frankly I don't exactly like it either. The snipers hit scan anti-missile thing too (Which can be fired from behind the sniper by the way, they don't need to aim for it.)

    I'm not sure what I think at the moment, because the other option is the hitscan flak turrets that are way cheaper, smaller and more easily spammable than umbrellas. Also, having AA able to hit the pods made it way easier to lock down planets from unit cannon drops, or at the very least your base. So I think it's an improvement, but we'll have to see how it turns out.

    Yeah, not much of a fan of hit scan weapon in general in this game.

    Like, for the sniper its tolerable for it's main gun due to planet curve, but for flak there really isn't a need.

    Flak aren't hit scan are they? They should just be projectiles that explode in the air and deal AOE damage, one moment let me go fetch it's ammo file...

    {"base_spec":"/pa/ammo/base_beam/base_beam.json","damage":100,"splash_damage":100,"splash_radius":15,"full_damage_splash_radius":5,"lifetime":1.0,"fx_beam_spec":"/pa/units/land/air_defense_adv/air_defense_adv_ammo_beam.pfx","fx_collision_spec":"/pa/effects/specs/default_proj_flak_explosion.pfx"}

    So is it the beam that's the problem?
