Elite: Dangerous is looking sexy

I actually liked it the music. And literally 99% (I did the math) of the music in my iTunes orchestral. The trailer was action-heavy and the music fitted that.

My one issue is that yeah, I know you're moving at insane speeds, but the planets still seem VERY small scale. Watched Scott Manley's "Fly to Earth" video and even Jupiter looked minuscule. EVE did a good job of making planets appear the right size, though the movement and way the game actually treats systems and planets is so radically different it wouldn't really transfer over too well.

It's an illusion created by moving really fast and being really far away.

But when Elite comes out I'll double check. Just for you.

It depends really on -how close- you can actually get to the planets, I suppose.

Yeah there is a limit to how close you can get.

I just remembered. I've heard Oculus Rift is really good for scale, so go with that.

The number one reason I want a Rift is still to make myself vomit on Mirror's Edge

I managed to grab it though, spent two hours jumping between stars trying to find my other ship.

Got to say I'm quite exited for this game, shame it doesn't seem to be coming to steam tho...

Thought some of the Pa dev's might find the last 3 second's entertaing.

Found some "experimental chemicals" near some derelict wreck. Got fined 2,300 or so credits for carrying "stolen" goods.

Nerd and geek were quite widely known in the ninetys, and apparently his first thing he made was mid eightys... So.
