They aren't big enough to be counted among in-house giants like Blizzard or Valve, and they aren't partnered or subservient to a larger publisher, which means they're... Mecha-indies?

I mean, I like PA.............but I probably wouldn't vote for it this year, as it's release was genuinely terrible.

To be fair it still feels like a beta, a lot of balancing issues and general UI bugs that is really hurting the game

It wasn't funded by a game publisher. That is the key feature of a independent game.

Well the game might be far from being finished yet but it delivers enough fun for me that I voted for it .

Ok, since Uber has no overseer over them, and they are under 100 staff (i think, check me on this uber if it is) then will just call them a mecha-inde developer studio ~_~

Also i wouldnt vote for them since the release was so terrible and we are still kinda reeling from it

This may come across as terribly smartass, but I'm curious. Who is "we"?
PA seems to have gotten enough votes to get into the top 100, right?

Definitly deserved. In my eyes PA is the next revolutionary RTS, that type of game you see only every 10-15 years in each genre! Like Homeworld before in RTS, like Planescape for CRPGs, like Gothic for BRPGs, like Fahrenheit for Adventures. But like all those games it wasn´t a big success (so far)---the differing part is that no other game was developed the style PA was---in good as in bad! ;)

BTW: My biggest disappointment in gaming this year: HumanResources didn´t make it! :(:(:(
Yes, that´s a bigger disappointment for me than MetroRedux not coming to GOG. :)mad:) REALLY!

Seriously radon its hard to get any games from Deep Silver on to gog. Im still waiting for them to deliver Dead Island 1 :)

I wonder though when is PA going to be released there.

What does the release have to do with the game? Arguably the release may have affected the state of the player base, which is separate to the game itself imo.

    Don't get offended by it.

I just wouldn't count it as game of the year, and for reasons including the games release.

Which I feel is completely related to the current state of the game.

I'm not offended, I asked because I don't understand the connection.
