The whole thing said that it was against women when GTA most certainly isn't that specific. :S

So it is only bad if it says "murder female prostitutes" on the box specifically?

The way the petition was worded paints a grossly inaccurate picture.

When did I say that? All I'm saying is in GTA you murder EVERYONE.

Anyway the point is I'm positive I killed more men than I killed women in the game.

They pretended as if the game was strongly anti-women, which is wrong, they lied, if you've even seen a small bit of game play you'd know that.

Well I haven't played GTA V, but judging from past entries in the series, I must say I disagree.

GTA does encourage excessive violence and it is part of the core gameplay. Whether you may or may not choose to target women or men or dogs is besides the point.

Good for you I guess, you sure are not biased then. I bet you even have female friends.

Well first of all, all the playable protagonists are men and there are no male prostitutes in the game (AFAIK).

But that is besides the point, you are behaving like this is a threat to you, like this is somehow, in your words "anti-men".. it is just a bunch of women speaking against violence towards women by male protagonists in a video game. That is all it is, and it is well justified judging from the gameplay I've seen.

Transgender doesn't mean anything, it is like I would say I have gender. I assume you still have gender identity one way or another.

This is wrong. In fact if the game even implied sexual violence it would be banned in Australia, there's a law for it. While in previous games having sex with prostitutes does give you health (not sure about V), killing them doesn't. Killing never restores your health.

This is a ludicrous statement. The game is R18+.

It doesn't. There is far more bashing, killing and horrific violence against men in the game. Singling out women is cherrypicking data. I pulled out a man's tooth and waterboarded him because a government agent told me to. I felt a little queasy about that bit but it served the story well.

There are also a few points in the game where characters actually defend women against violence.

A game that doesn't have female protagonists is just as sexist as a film with no Jewish actors is anti-semitic

Yes, but it isn't an RPG. The characters are heterosexual. They have no interest in male prostitutes.

You might be able to have sex with a prostitute; that's all I can think of, most of the time I spend mucking around, and the missions are predominantly heists and other such things.

So... your argument is that this is GROSSLY inaccurate, because getting a blowjob from a prostitute gives you health, but killing does not? Surely this is outrageously non-factual...

Nowhere do they say that this concerns only women. They are former sexual workers, targeting a very specific scenario in the game. It is a defensive reaction on your part, all this going "OMG SO BIASED LOOK AT ALL THE MEN I KILLED". (which sounds really ridiculous in itself)

Age ratings are there for a reason. If parents ignore them it's not the game's fault.

And yes, it is grossly inaccurate because it makes the game sound like it's a rape simulator where you murder your victims. Which it isn't.

The fact that they don't address the rest of the game is cherrypicking. They're only choosing to tell the less informed about aspects of the game which will incite the reaction they want. If it actually said "players have the option of killing prostitutes, as they do with most other characters" I'd have much less of a problem with it.

So what you're telling me is that the protagonists are designed around being male, and the only exploits you can perform in a sexual manner are geared towards a straight male?

And . . . you don't see a problem with this? You don't see why people might want to criticise this? People should always be allowed to criticise something, it's your job to argue against that criticism.

Yes it is a rape simulator, among other things. And it is very much intentionally so. Because that is what Rockstar does, controversy. ON PURPOSE.

Should I be angry that there are no transgendered females in the game as a main character?

Maybe im wrong, but I don't remember raping ANYONE in the game.
