The Not-At-All Official PA Community Secret Santa Thread (Gift Enjoying Time)!

Back on Cubeworld forums, before the servers died, we had a secret santa thing for Christmas, which was fun because secrets. And Santa.

Anyway basically if you're interested you have the next week to sign up and either me or some mod can pull names out of a hat or whatever until we're all paired up. Your partner will be PM'd to you but of course they won't know, because it's a secret.

The big rule we had was no game worth over $20 USD in normal value. So even if some $50 title is $10 you can't get it. It has to be $20 or less without a sale. Otherwise someone might get Call of Triple-A Shadow of Assassin's Duty 9 while someone else gets Ecco the Dolphin.

This is best done through Steam, once you have your magic parcel of happiness you send it to the Master Santa, who'll pass it on to the recipient on Christmas. Obviously this means we need a trustworthy individual so hopefully one of the mods will volunteer.

It's just about 1am GMT on the 1oth so you have until the 17th to sign up and then until the 24th to buy something.

Don't sign up if you don't want to buy anything, because that makes you a bad person.

what happens if a gift is bought then passed to the middle person and then the person who is meant for buys that game on steam before it is given to them?

That person ends up with a spare copy in their inventory.

We had something like this in the MNC forum recently. We trusted GC2MT with the addresses of everyone and he informed the people of the addresses they needed to send the gifts to. We had a 20$ limit on gifts.

I'm fine with bumping it to $20 if that's what people want. But no higher.
