By the way, I got an answer back from Humble Store. The thing they sell there is a Steam key, so that's why it has no DRM-free logo and only Steam.

The developer may be hosting a DRM-free download on their own site, but have partnered with Humble Bundle by presenting a Steam-accessible version of the title.

Three months after 1.0, 9.99 on Humble Bundle. last week 5.99 on Steam. Need I say more?

If all players used Steam then a much larger percent of players use PA Stats than we thought considering the numbers.

And finally this is how many players were actually seen by PA stats (That means someone had to actually be in a game with someone who happened to have PA Stats installed) in September.


Notice this, Steam says there were a bit over 2k players online in September at the peak, PA Stats says it SAW above 4000 players, again that requires that someone actually be in a game with someone that had PA Stats, which means everyone not in a game with a user of PA Stats wasn't documented.

That means there were even more undocumented players, 2000+ were Steam, and at least 2000 more were not using Steam. A bit over 500 of which were using PA Stats at the time, and all of this isn't even counting all of the people who played offline...

So that's right, your data is void, do some more research please.

Won't matter, they are staunchly anti Uber and PA. They were much less polite about it on steam too. No point arguing some people.

I love numbers, they do not lie…you can twist them, but numbers are what they are. The steam stats are straight forward; they show the average number of players. In order to register on steam tracks, you must launch the game. The real question, what is steams share of the total PA player base? The steam charts are very easy to understand. If you have PA via steam, and launch PA...steam will load, the player will then register on Steam chart. At the time of this reply (12-10-14 - 1:29 PM EST) there were 692 players in game, I got that number by clicking community hub on the PA store page.

I just showed you real data though? Less players use the Steam version than you pretend, 50% at most it seems, at least during January.

If PA stats saw 4000 players and Steam only recorded 2000 then that means Steam is half of the total players than PA Stats recorded seeing. This isn't even including the extra players who played offline that Steam wouldn't record; not to mention the players online that didn't use Steam that weren't recorded by PA Stats.

You can't argue against the data I use, my data clearly shows that there are MANY players that don't use Steam.

This is more or less my problem. I don't know what to do yet with my extra copy I got for $5
