PTE Build 76412-pte now live (updated with new build 12/16/14)

    Build 76412-pte additions

    Balance:

    • Gunboat (Previously Sea Scout)
      • Role changed to Gunboat from Scout
      • Name changed to Piranha from Sunfish
      • Health increased to 175 from 75
      • Acceleration decreased to 50 from 100
      • Brake decreased to 150 from 200
      • Move Speed decreased to 15 from 20
      • Sight Radius increased to 150 from 100
      • Damage increased to 20 from 15
      • Initial and Max Velocity increased to 130 from 80
      • Range increased to 130 from 90
      • New model to reflect role better.

    General:
    • Unit Cannon effects pass
    • Unit Cannon sounds pass
    • Naval sound pass
    • Changes to Umbrella beam
    • New Gunboat (previously Sea Scout) model
    • Destroyer art polish on torpedo launching
    • New icon for Gunboat (previously Sea Scout)
    • Added orbital lines to Nukes and Unit Cannon projectiles
    • Remove Sandbox biome from System Designer
    • Added all ranked maps back to ranked map pool
      • Brings ranked map pool up to 6 maps
    UI:
    • New player guide pass
    • Surrender no longer shows when spectating
    • New player guide now available in game with F1 or on Escape menu.
    Bugs:
    • Unit Cannon aiming fixed
    • Units in Unit Cannon no longer fire
    • Unit Cannon projectiles have strategic icon
    • Fix for Unit Cannon storing units twice
    • Selecting a new CSG in editor will replace unplaced CSG instead of placing it under the button
    • My Replays now work again
    • Clicking links in update notes will open a browser
    • Fix for units being invisible in older replays
    • Fix for no start points
    • Fix for freeze on 1v1 loading screen
    • Fix for AI teaming up in FFAs
    • Fix for game freezing on spawning commanders
    • Backspace will no longer return you to main menu
    • Fixes for some Mac shader errors
    • Fix for pulse curves getting stuck "on"
    Known Issue:
    • Unit cannon can not fire on trees or other such objects. Units will die on impact.

    Build 76262-pte additions

    Balance:

    • Commander
      • AA weapon now prioritizes Bombers
    • Leviathan
      • Health increased to 6000 from 4000
      • Rate of Fire increased to 0.2 from 0.1
    • Narwhal
      • Shell Rate of Fire decreased to 1.25 from 3
    • Orca
      • Torpedo Splash Radius set to 10
      • Torpedo Full Damage Splash Radius set to 1
    • Torpedo Launcher
      • Splash Radius set to 10
      • Full Damage Splash Radius set to 1
    • Advanced Torpedo Launcher
      • Splash Radius set to 10
      • Full Damage Splash Radius set to 1
    • Unit Cannon pods are no longer targetable by AA
    • Unit Cannon pods are now targetable by Umbrella
    UI:
    • New Main Menu added
    • New Player guide added (work in progress)
      • Accessed from main menu or using F1 key in game.
    • Unit Cannon icon added
    System Editor:
    • CSG palette in place
    • CSG brushes now show up on cursor when selected
    General:
    • Unit Cannon art pass
    • Naval sound pass
    Bugs:
    • Units now snap to ground after being shot from Unit Cannon
    • Unit Cannon now aims when firing (still work in progress)
    • Unit Cannon stored units/projectiles are now hidden while unit is under construction
    • Fixed PTE issue where custom planets were not always saving


    Build 76079-pte additions

    Balance:

    • Dox movement changes
      • Acceleration decreased to 50 from 150
      • Deceleration decreased to 50 from 150
      • Turning rate increased to 720 from 360
    Bug Fixes:
    • AI and Subcommanders should now be working again
    • Fix system editor issue: Load planet bug
    • Crash fixes for server
    Changes:
    • Secondary color will now be selected at random (player can still change it)
    • 3 new planets are available outside of ranked play

    Jables, how does the PTE work on steam? Does it overwrite the stable?

    Right click -> properties -> Betas -> select "pte"

    that should get you set up for it. you may need to verify files to get it to update to pte build. It should not overwrite stable.

    i think u ment 550 or something for its old metal value since 450 from 350 is an increase?

    now do something about "energy cost of t1 engineers too high" and "we have no wrecks" and a bunch of other things. But you are on the right track for sure! :p

    Does this also work on engineers? I think it would be helpful to have on any kind of resource consuming "thing"

    how much health do have units in flight actually have? Does the drop pod protect them? Or is it just the flying unit?

    AA doesn't do much to Slammer though.

    I'm not sure, but I suspect their health is the unit health. I had no trouble dropping Slammers in AI commander base despite all the AA towers. Only the first Slammer landed with almost no health left.

    When will system editor and lobby fixes come? And also the recent "No spawns" bug?

    Anyway I can't wait to test it, as long as no more bugs are added. :confused:

    Sorry, I can't brain this right now, can somebody please elaborate. Is there additional UI controls or is this blanket for all fabbers that are starved of a particular resource?
