I've not tracked all custom maps made so far, but do we have a nice 750-850 radius 1vs1 planet that can be used to do some fun games with a mod that combines expansionist and rescale PA? I want to do epic expansion games, playing ranked 1vs1 made me go insane xD
So 800 radius earth low clusters high spread metal but is nicely done for a rescale that makes units bigger or smaller?
smaller ofc, think rescale 0.5 or 0.6 maybe. No changed ranges or speeds though. I think it should have a lot of nice places for expansion proxys as well as some randomly spread mex. So some spread mex, but also some mex clusters that mark the obvious expansion positions. I'd like like 4 or maybe 6 obvious expansion slots so players can expand, expand, EXPAND Oh and no water for now please. Make it a desert planet maybe. EDIT: Oh and maybe let it have some rather big mountains and stuff so the small units look especially nice next to them.
Colin, your probably my favorite moding person in the community so for you I am going to try and make the best map I have and ever will make. I shall create a masterpiece unlike any other. I shall name the map The Kings Domain in honor of the true king of the planet.

It was fun to start with, but got very turtely. I think the tougher T1 pelicans mod I got us to use helped a bit
I watched one of Gandalf's games on this map and the same thing happened. A guy tried to nuke Gandalf and ended up taking out half his own base by accident. On the plus side, I saw lots of holkins.
The nukes try to keep a certain height above the ground - when they fly over cracks, the "ground" suddenly becomes a lot lower, so they head downwards, and don't always have enough time to head up again once the crack ends before they hit the wall of the chasm.
soooooo idk how to fix that without totally redoing the map... is there anyway to get around that without removing all cracks?
If you put an additive brush below the surface to make the cracks more shallow (but still deep enough to block movement), it should largely mitigate the issue. I haven't played with the editor though, so not sure how difficult that would be. If it helps, the problem is worst when launching over a crack running parallel - this gives the missile a chance to get quite low.
