Gandalfs Map Pack [Custom Maps]

    XMan Version 0.1
    This Map is a 2v2 map and will only work with 2 armies. that means you can do 1v1 2v2 3v3... etc but you cannot do 1v1v1 or 2v2v2 or any three person combo will ruin spawns and not give you what you want. 1v1v1v1 FFA does NOT work even though there is 4 spawns its set to do 2 spawns per army so it would really mess up.

    @violetania taking out a commander in a 2v2 with us as pink vs some peeps while testing^^^

    I'm going to put this and Team Arena up on System sharing mod Default and Realm servers and will later be releasing a Mappack mod with several maps that you can play while even offline then!

    Nice work! :) I think a custom metal planet that makes use of scaled up path-able trenches would be epic...

    Unfortunately they only work near the equator, otherwise they get really weirdly bent...

    Well that doesn't preclude it then, just puts some constraints on the layout....

    That is because the trenches are generated on metal planets with projection type BP_LongitudePinch. Switch it to BP_Longitude or BP_Bend and it'll work just fine.

    But I'd have to do json file editing and need a mod for that, wouldn't I?

    All custom planets are essentially modded biomes AFAIK.

    No they are not. Maps build by my own editor where custom biomes, but the new system editor does it in a better way.
    I think guest is referring to editing the .pas file.
    Maybe you can even edit it for one brush and then reimport it and then use the brush as a source to copy paste.

    We have been doing League of Commanders playtests on the arena map and loving it. That map is pretty great for team games.

    I will be doing my third map tonight and releasing a starter map pack later on this week! if anyone has ideas for tonights planet please tell me. i might make a 1v1 map since i have done a 2v2 and 4v4/5v5 map

    My first 1v1 map!
    System name: IceAge
    Planet Name: Clopses Bridge
    Radius: 500
    Ice Biome base with metal planet csg influence
    One Spawn per player, designed for 2 players in a One vs One game. could also do 2v2 3v3 4v4 ect... but would probably not be that fun? not sure

    Air dominance + pelters round the back of the base looks like it would be an interesting tactic, as long as you could hold your own in the rest of the map.

    A planet with some scaled up cracks to create islands surrounded by huge chasms would be good. Maybe bring in the bridges you had on clopse's bridge to give land paths between the islands. Would hopefully look a little like some of the HR concepts especially if some of @guest1 's tricks were used to hollow out the bits under the islands.
