    I dunno what the hell you're talking about.

    in that game it all depends on your CPU if you don't have the cpu to play it then you can't. but really for 1k units to lag in FA (alone, because we have to exclude the possibility you were playing with shitty spec partners) then you'd have to be running a celeron.

    My comp stops in FAF usually hit a few thousand units by the hight of the game.

    Um. Most units made in PA was 70 something thousand with PA Stats on and if I tried and used avatar factories I think I could hit 120k before crash.

    I think I just don't have the ram for stuff like that.

    That and no AI ever comes close to that kind of macro, a shame really.

    What you're saying is impossible. legit impossible.

    I run FA on linux which kills a lot of performance, much shittier drivers and I only get to use one virtual core. whereas normally it is capable of running on a core plus it's virtual doppelgänger.

    I'm @ 3.2Ghz

    and I run circles around FA.

    something is wrong on your system or with your FA install. I can tell you that is NOT FA's normal behaviour.

    So it's either that, or you and I are talking about very different things.

    possibly, you have to consider that what you said here is very unclear:
    I interpreted that as "your FA freezes as soon as you hit 1000 units". that's not what you meant?

    I can run 12 000 units at +1 simspeed that's why I said something's wrong since your cpu has a better clock than mine.

    Ahh, no it never freezes, it just starts slowing down at that point.

    And it might be due to running on average about 7 AI for my 4v4's.

    But then again, I usually play at +4 or even +5 speeds before a noticeable slowdown.

    you PLAY at that speed or your counter is showing that you are capable of playing at that speed?

    variable speed setting has a tendancy to decrease performance drastically. As it is unranked nobody plays with it on FAF.

    I usually play at it, and let the game slow down as the action increases.

    It's almost like a dynamic game speed where if fast when there is no fighting, slow when there is to let you micro.

    try with speed set at normal and you will see your computer is capable of maintatining +1 throughout. especially with FAF+ improved shadows mod (this mod increases performance a bit)
