As it stands right now with the price of the Hall-Es (I have no clue if that's how you say it) Most systems use planets with 2-3 required. My proposition is simple decrease the cost by 1/4 to make them 10000 and increase the number required by about x4 so 3 would become 12 etc. Personally I find it rather silly how two of them push relatively large planets around. This will May cause it to be more difficult to launch planets due to the need to defend more, but you can always build excess to help counter the occasional nuke that finds its way by. It will also make players choose between building a base on a planet or leaving it for some positively smashing fun. (see what I did there;))

My suggestion for the halleys would be to decrease their size to 1/4th of what they are now as well, otherwise I'm totally with you man! Also, decreasing their health to 1/2 of what it currently is to compensate. Would look way better IMO.

I think 1/4 the size might be a tad overzealous perhaps 1/2 although I could be wrong (modders plz ). The health change would be very welcome aswell

I kinda wish Uber would be a bit more aggressive with things like this they have the play test and for the most part its just simple number changes that could be scrapped if they don't work out.

Thanks! It's now modded into my local build, the only thing I can't change myself is the model size atm.

It's not helping that catalysts are so effective at winning. It kind of invalidates halleys or bikes when there's the option.

Don't worry, looking at fixing that too at some point. Probably gonna give the catalysts a constant energy drain or something.

Also, as for the halley size, some testing has led me to believe that they would look way more badass if they were the same size, especially with planets being the size they are, usually. Also, have some images:

I take it you are talking about nukes in 1v1's? Nukes are still used a lot in multiplanet systems, if you make them cheaper nukes would be spammed in multiplanet systems. I think this issue gets resolved by making a cheaper nuke that can't leave the planet and a more expensive interplanetary nuke.

Back on topic, +1 for this idea. It would look a lot better with more halleys. Still, there is not really a required number of halleys on a planet? The creator can edit the halley number himself. Making them cheaper could also make some systems with ridiculous easily throwable planets

No, but I'll hide your name in the code somewhere. :p

Just so you guys know, the post with the pictures was on a planet that needed 3 engines. I couldn't launch untill I had 12 in my mod.

I know that this is possible but due to the price of the halleys its just not piratical to have it done in one game. I also suggested that the number required be increased for the included and randomly generated planets as well. So systems would work the same way just with more halleys to do the same thing.

Ok, orbital warfare overhaul catalysts will cost an additional 5000, and drain a constant 10000 energy. Coming soon to a modpage near you.

    That's our Cola!

Anyway, I believe it's gotten to a point where it's ridiculous. The nuke's missile alone costs twice that of a halley.

That has everything to do with the system you play, you can change that balance however you like. :p

:/ yeah but on random generated systems you'll never get a planet that needs more than two.
