    Hey guys! With new PTE out I'd love to see some of the cool new maps you are making. Particularly one showing off custom choke points, symmetry, and other cool use of land features! Post pretty screenshots here and also if you are really cool, tell us where to find those maps on Shared Systems or the PAMM so we can play with them. Also, use this thread to discuss new custom maps that turn out to be really fun or really bad!.

    Here, a balanced 1v1 map, size 700, with possibilities for planetary expansion. There are some interesting expansion possibilities, but it's built for a time when naval is fixed and viable.

    liked just because of great thread idea.
    they look like rorschach tests and I love it!

    That looks very similar to one I added to the genesis testing server earlier. The main difference is that on mine, the metal is mostly all in the water. It lets you attack on land still and tanks can hit the water mex, but it might force naval.

    I'm not going to build a map that forces naval until we get better naval. This one is so you have one spawn option (the obvious one) but also a secondary for when naval works.

    Hmm slightly heavy on metal for my tastes, but definitely gonna enjoy playing on symmetrical maps!

    Naval works just fine for me. You just have to remember to build a naval factory first. ;)

    No, it doesn't. Dox win every time, because you can cut through the lake and stuff. Sorry. It's just not cost effective. Naval should be OP compared to land to keep it viable, but right now that's not true.

    Sharing of systems is disabled while in PTE for now.

    I want rotational symmetry... this looks so ugly.

    I'd rather have point symmetry. :p

    Yeaaah, I kind of noticed that after taking a second, I looked up what you said was and at first I thought it was a bit different, no need to get angry about it. :S

    :p is an expression of joking, emotes are there to make you be able to understand the underlying tone of something.

    I was not being angry. And your joke wasn't a particularly good one, either. ... ehm... you may now picture me sticking out my tongue and squeezing my eyes, having a pink round face all the while.

    Well it was intended to be a little cheeky thing, because I thought they were a bit different when I looked up what that type of symmetry, but when I inspected it further I saw they were the same. Heh. ^^;

    Back on topic, has anyone managed to make some interesting use of choke points or features?
