If you could change one thing about PA what would it be?

    I'd import TA's base defenses (especially the Doomsday Machine... mmm multiple independently targeting lasers *drool*)

    id snap my finger and make the game free of any kind of lagg, or stuff that slows the game, no matter how many units are there or how many or how big planet is, and load these things super fast

    Theres so much stuff which is in dire need of changing, but the top contender would be:
    Remove Orbital from the game entirely. I cannot see it working properly and actually improving the gameplay in any way possible since it adds too much complexity and is a complete mess to handle.

    Yeah, exactly, it's a large part of the ideas PA was build on. No more Haleys, no more death from above, just plain old ground wars like every other RTS. Might as well go back to flat maps too, that also adds much complexity.

    Sure the selecting of orbital units could be made easier and such, but getting rid of it? Nope.

    I'm going with diversity/interestingness. I look at this game and see tank, plane, robot, boat. I look at SC:FA and see:

    Tank... that's also a hovercraft
    Plane.... that is also a transport
    Robot.... that also reflects missiles
    Boat.... that can also refuel and repair aircraft, or my favorite, sprout legs and walk on land.

    I know that planets and orbital stuff are the "gimmick" of PlanA but the main combat units are pretty generic. If I could change one thing it would be to make the units more interesting.

    We have a robot that can shoot down missiles.
    We have a plane that is also a transport.
    And hover tanks are just hover tanks.

    The transport plane is just a transport. FA had a gunship that could pick up a unit. What robot shoots down missiles and what kind of missiles?

    The sniper bot can shoot down tactical missiles from any unit/building.

    I wasn't aware of the sniper bot's ability but that's not a whole lot of interestingness in my opinion.

    The servers already are multithreaded. It's just not enough threads are dedicated to individual games (i.e. spread to thin).
