Reset or keep stats

After seeing that the leaderboard update is coming very soon and that Uber were still deciding whether to keep or reset our stats from the original ranked update. Thought they could get some help from us deciding!

Keep. Because I'm Uber and already have 40-50 games on it.

Nothing else matters and no other opinions will be considered.

I am bronze because I didn't start early nor did I use dox meta.

Honestly, if they also bring in balance changes, then they should reset. It is worth doing so if done early. Otherwise, meh, just keep.

Why keep from pte to launch but not launch to addition of leader boards?

The leader boards will show the cowardly ubers for what they are. You know the ones that got in early got placed then never played again for fear of losing rank.

I say keep and the the rest will work itself out.

Games played plus caliber of opponents will shed the light of truth on the undeserving lol.

Rather than asking whether to keep or reset, you should be discussing how often a ladder reset should occur. RTS games without ladder resets just become moldy.

I don't want a ladder reset immediately just because I want to see our standings at the end of the month. After that, go ahead!

Ladder resets 2 times a year. Once Jan 1st and then July 1st

Starcraft resets 6 times a year.

Starcraft also has a far far larger userbase. 6 times a year is probably too much. I think eaither 2 or 3 times a year would be a much better situation for this community.

If reset necessary I would like to see standings before reset ^^

I'm fine either way, but I would expect there to be some manner of occasional reset anyway, as most ladder systems do that to keep hierarchies from settling too rigidly.

I think if we go regular resets we need a record of the standings for each ladder, even if it's just the top 10 or so... Would be rubbish to get to top then get reset with no record.....

Also I think it's a bit too soon to reset, I'd like to see the standings.

I always agree with this. However, it is possible that even now, there is no standing as a ladder hasn't been established. You are assuming it exists but is invisible.

Either way, yes, once leaderboards are established, the "default shown" one should be 3-4 month ranking. There should be a "Lifetime" kept one as well though. There should even be ones for the day. Fun stuff.

just make a website to store previous ladders results before reset. FAF has regular ladder resets.

seasonal would be ok i immagine so 2 times a year for sommer and winter, no?

so can someone explain how exactly ranking works ? is it win lose ratio added with average performance of matches?

I'm disappointed for the poll not including a completely irrelevant answer like "potato".
