    Has balance changed or is it still mostly dox spam or spam of something?
    Has pathfinding been improved or units still randomly get stuck?
    Are there any money tourneys popping up sometimes?

    Pretty spammy, but meta has changed. No money tournaments in a while. Pathing is pretty good now.

    Me and clopse are ththe only ones who host money tournaments it seems and well I am now broke from the last one being 100$ and so it will be awhile. Also I need to talk to you both about something I'm cooking up.

    Pathing has improved to the point where your own clan favours metal maps over moons now.

    High level right now between two players is not 1 or even 2 units anymore. People are finding better and better ways to play. It's all 3 factories now and if there is enough water then narwhals, are decent and advanced naval can do some serious pain. I recently have seen some games start going advanced again like old meta because basic wars cannot be won between two players at same level sometimes because they are both playing flawlessly.

    That's old news. Second air factory owns it. All vhecs also stronger by min 6 vs it.

    We all thought for months that nothing could beat dox. Now they are not the best. Give it 2 more months and the competitive scene to grow by the ladder and a person will find out how and it will completely change our look on the game again

    I've been thinking energy/metal balance on t1 is broken since roughly a year or maybe even longer :p
    Really the raw numbers are so completely imbalanced towards making units there is no way to reasonably make proxys without t2 power.

    It's what 400 metal to 600 power for basic. And 3.5k metal for 5k power for advanced?

    That has nothing to do with it. Yes increasing the energy production would "fix" it by potentially drowning players in energy, but that's not the best way to do it.
    The heart of the issue is that structures are build by fabbers and the t1 fabber is the most energy-inefficient builder in the game by far. So making t1 sturcture on t1 costs stupid amounts of energy. Players who do not feel limited by energy just have accepted this and make only very few fabbers, so very few structures. Then ofc you are more limited by metal, because you are not building the stuff that costs energy. But making only few structures feels like playing a non-TA game to me.
    But I've written a long text about this, if you want to discuss it, please post there. ;)

    More expansions = more fun. Currently the balance is pretty bad for expansions for economy as well as for "dox" reasons. On top of that the 2 lone ladder maps are horribly inbalanced and tiny planets as well with no space to expand anyway. :(
