Yarp, the team members let go most definitely need commemorative commanders. Brad's of course would be nothing but arms.

I believe that Meta implemented things like Ping, and Continuous Build mode, as well as made some balance changes here and there. However, I believe that his primary role was business related, and maybe that's why they let him go? They probably needed to strip down to the core engineering team again, which makes sense.

Plus that Twitch integration if I remember correctly.

After a project is complete, getting rid of some people is a normal process.
Usually, you hire people for a certain period of time, and re-conduct the contract if needed.
No idea why they had a permanent contract to begin with?

I work in a software development company - you typically have a core workforce of permanent staff, and manage the fluctuations or special short-term needs via contractors or fixed term staff. Uber have no doubt done the same; we just wouldn't have heard of those contractors leaving because that's just day-to-day business. But without HR, some of the core uber staff have also been affected.

There are three types of authorities: actual, apparent, and implied. Essentially, employees who are fired/withdrawn may still be able to bind a business to contracts even though no actual authority exists, whether expressed or implied. It can represent a significant source of liability for a business.
