    I'm hosting a playtest of a mod to add megabots into the game RIGHT NOW.

    Featuring 1 new T1 bot, the Striker (15 speed, medium laser and light flamethrower, 100 metal, 120 HP)

    And three distinct Megabots

    Stickman: Armored Assault Megabot. A heavy flamethrower at close range, a shotgun of shells at medium range, and a tactical missile launcher at long range.
    Calyx: Riot Control Megabot. A heavy AoE cannon along with a rapid-fire laser for dealing with swarms.
    Kapowaz: Long Range Support Megabot. A medium and a heavy railgun make short work of anything at long range, but vulnerable up close.

    Mod by myself and @burntcustard

    looks nice! Now i want one of these big bots to be able to switch to orbital layer and transferable to planets.

    For a given definition of "new" I suppose...

    Now balance it so that late-game it isn't a necessity.

    Looks awsome, Cant wait to burn some robot hide with one of these bad boys.

    You mod guys rock, soo glad uber decided to allow mods, It really adds longevity to games and seeing as large scale rts's are thin on the ground right now its more important than ever.

    I'd LOVE to see the chronoblip tearing it all apart. Really awesome! The thing I don't really like is the greenish flamethrower. Also some really sick sound effects would be cool but I guess thats not possible yet.

    Btw If you guys want sounds for mods pm me with a discription of what you need, how long it needs to be and wether it needs to loopable and ill see what I can do..
    I have massive, razor and vst6.5 along with varios other plug ins.

    A lot of opinion on the forums is that experimentals like these would turn the game into a turtle fest but I actually disagree. The scale and 3D nature of PA means it would be very hard to make a 'turtle up until you get experimentals' strat work. One experimental could always be overwhelmed by the equivalent 300-400 T1/T2 units if balanced properly. I see these as adding a very fun game ender between two really well matched opponents.

    I think it's questionable to use commander models of commanders you don't own for anything.

    Apart from that: That looks fun

    make a bot that can self destruct and make a crater like an asteroid!

    Making a crater effect is not possible I think.

    Like nukes in vanilla? Not agree with the balance, but late game definitely isn't necesary when early game ends it 7 minutes in with dox and/or boombots.

    Make them build in the orbital layer. Then you can unleash them onto the planet. Just make them build in the orbital layer, and their navigation layer be amphibious.
