I have just played a great game and now I have the chrono cam open and I will go through all the bugs I encountered in this specific game. If some of this bugs are features or if I don't understand some game mechanics feel free to correct me. INFO: It was a 15:47 min 1v1 on a kinda small planet. 1.st BUG: Just to prove it to you guys, I won the game and I was in the victory screen: After pressing chrono cam to go to the chrono cam, I wasn't able to change the view of the players. Im pretty sure thats a bug but i dont exactly know what caused it, if somebody knows pleas write it in the comments, otherwise UBER FIX PLS _________________________________________________________________________ 2.Bug: After a while I attacked the enemy with my army, I destroyed most of his units and I just sent my units into his base to destroy it. The problem I had was that not all of my tanks or only a few were actually shooting the buildings and the others werent doing anything. It didn't matter if they were moving or standing still, they didn't shoot Dont know what caused this bug, but its definitly annoying. UBER PLS FIX __________________________________________________________________________ 3.Bug Walls not build properly. I gave my commander the command to build two walls. On one side he build it perfectly well but on the other he kinda fucked up. There were some gaps in between and enemy units were able to shoot through them INFO: In both cases I used the drag and drop build command, I didn't place the walls one by one in the false one. __________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: Nevermind the first bug, I downloaded the replay and it worked perfectly fine. But the other 2 bugs still remain.
The wall bug is actually not a bug, it's supposed to build where there is most room and you built the first wall parallel to the factory, but the line was diagonal which makes this happen.
I have noticed that first one too. In some games that wont happen, and I guess it wont ever happen if you loose.
One other thing that OP didn't mention, but that has been around for ages and not brought up to my knowledge, is the percentage of resources used shown in the end screen. 108.9% metal used? A lot of games have an impossible percentage, and I assume that the ones that don't are probably still wrong.
You placed that first wall so close to the factory that it had to be parallel to the factory. Then you dragged the wall line diagonally, which forced the other walls edges to touch, rather than their sides.
All those values are wrong by I think a factor of 10, resulting in wrong % as well. Compare it with PA Stats
Yeah, PA Stats were always spot-on as I remember. Is the data still stored or shown anywhere by PAS now that there's an official ending stats screen? Do you think Uber's APM count might be off too? In PA Stats I was getting 80-120 APM, and even taking in consideration that Uber only count valid actions rather than any key press, I find it strange that I'm now around 20APM. I'm pretty efficient with my clicks, I regularly win with a lower APM; but the drop between your version and the Uber version seems almost too big to be correct.
The correct behavior here should probably be to not build the first wall unit in this case and start with the second one automatically. Building the wall pieces with the correct orientation is more important than building the wall with the correct length when you queue it with a line command.
www.pastats.com Uber counts only real commands. A pointless click that has no gameplay effects is not considered by Uber. PA Stats counts any keypress. It doesn't matter what it does. Even chatting increases your APM.
Ie uber measures commands per minute rather than actions. A more useful metric imo also used in spring. To put cpm into context, a good level for competitive play for one player is 30. A statecraft player I know could hit 80 tops, it is usually much lower than apm as most commands take 2 or 3 actions to complete.
