    look at that production graph......

Yeah, it was shared but i managed to convince 4/5 players to let me control stuff.

This is perhaps a sign that gas giants are OP, but i don't think many people know how to manage them properly (or even manage the rest properly when they have unlimited eco), and end up building avengers instead of fabbers. Also, the purple team never built any orbital to combat us.

20:27 is the point where i started assisting ground fabbers with orbital fabbers to completely turn the game around.

Well, you admit that your enemy didn't try to stop you, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it seems somewhat suspect.

    Suspect that.... what?

Do you think i told the other team of randoms not to stop us on the gas giant?

No, you have directly said that your enemy didn't try to attack your orbital farm.

So it's hardly surprising that it allowed you to amass a "game turning around" size of economy.

I think the point is that this is like calling mex OP because no one tried to destroy your mex....

I never said i was surprised, because i'm not.

I don't think you understand what this thread is about...

EDIT: read the thread title again

Fair enough, mabye I don't. But I can pretty much insert whatever I want into this formula and have the same result. [T2] can turn a game around. [Nukes] can turn the game around. [Boom bots] can turn the game around. Like, pretty much anything in the right circumstance can turn the game around, so maybe that's why I'm confused and thought the implication was that gas giants might be OP. Especially considering, "This is perhaps a sign that gas giants are OP..."

Yes, we derailed the thread because disagreeing is offtopic!

    Of course!

Kiwi, what they are trying to point out is that the game you posted is not likely to be a good example. If the other team never tried to counter your strategy, you can't be sure that there is no counter. Jigs are actually very vulnerable to nukes and avengers.

Hey man, maybe I'm just confused. Isn't it about there being proof that gas planets can turn a game around?

There appears to be a bit of an 'anti gas giant' campaign going on at the moment, I think many assume your jumping on the 'nerf gas giant's and here's evidence why' bandwagon.... though I'm guessing that wasn't your point?

Personally I like the fact gas giants are unlimited resources- it's like the old 'metal planets' from TA. They're really hard to defend so they just punish those who don't build orbital (and as always ignoring a whole layer is usually a fast way to fail hard).

Actually, my point is not exactly to jump on the "nerf jigs" side, but to merely point out how powerful gas giants become when literally kicked off a planet with no resources left. I feel like it's only hard to understand the OP without watching the replay.

Watching the replay will show what I meant. I mean, that is a huge comeback.

I'm having a study break right now, so I'll check it out. On an unrelated note, jesus, the numbers are so long. I entered it into my calculator so I can type it in game and it spilled over on to the second line of my ti-83 plus. Too many numbers!
