How would you feel about a second PA kickstarter?

I think the idea was that for them to expand they need to be doing more than just working on PA. A new Kickstarter for something *new* relating to PA might make sense in that case (and doesn't have to require work ending on the main game, we're talking something extra / different).

I don't think the concept is harmful- it's just speculation as to what the *reaction* would be from people- and if it would potentially be a better bet than new IP like HR (as much as I do like that concept).

I was excited about HR using the same engine as PA.. and that would in a round about way would add money into the advancement of the PA engine. Though the concept of HR didn't excite me.

I have not seen people complaining that the 40 player matches or enormous unit counts they 'promised' at the beginning. Not getting to those goals is not an issue to me, partly because i just did not see it being feasible in the first place. However, launching without core features really screwed over my impression of uber, especially the lack of a decent balance.

I guess I will go vote yes as I would support Uber if they needed a little more to add certain "coolness/features" to PA. Though I really do think it's a little too soon to entertain such ideas.

While I agree that the balance of PA has quite some issues, I don't really get why people are so fixed on releasing with a decent balance. It's such a crazy stupid hard thing to get right and even if the balance is "right" you'll always be able to quickly find a group of people who think it sucks.

Yep, has to do with the fact there is no "right", or universally "good" balance. There will always be people who hate the balance.

Example: Supcom, I hate it's balance, yet many maaany like it.

There is no sugar about it. No matter what they do balance-wise I am sure if you make a thread "I like this balance" you'll quickly end up in an endless discussion with people who totally hate it. Like you are about to start one such discussion about SupCom

Relationship between each respective tech level is a large part of it, i dont like the t2 is better than t1; t3 being better than t2, etc...

I bet we couldn't even get agreement that we all liked breathing air..

Oh and I wanted to say- I think hate is too strong a word, I dislike it. I can still have fun with vanilla Supcom, and FAF is even better, but it's not exactly my cup of tea.
