[REL][Server Mod] Statera Balance Mod

    Well, but if a car twice the size of another is going at the same speed to the finish line, the large car would win?

    Though I suppose it might not be noticeable enough.

    PA doesn't care how big something is. It just cares what number that unit has for max speed.

    May someone explain to me how to install these kinds of balance mods, how they work, what is required to play them, and will they affect my game when I'm not using them because I am (frankly to lazy to read everything [sorry]) terribly confused.:confused:

    You'll need to get the Planetary Annihilation Mod Manager, I'll go fetch it for you, one moment.

    Then you'll just go to server mods, select install on Statera, then go to your mods and enable it. Afterwards go to the client mod section and install the Statera icons mod (Icons don't show up with server mods alone). Then enable that one. After that, launch PA and it'll be uploaded to the server and you can play on it! If you ever want to disable it, just go back to PAMM and disable it.

    1. Get this: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-pa-mod-manager-cross-platform.59992/ Go to available mods, then server mods tab, then find and click on Statera. You'll also want the Statera Icons mod, in the client mods tab.
    2. They are uploaded to a server when you host an online game and are automatically used when you host an offline one. Anyone without the mod can join and play without consequences.
    3. The server mod will do nothing if you aren't hosting a game. The client side icons mod will change a few icons if you forget to turn it off before playing the vanilla game, but that's no big problem.

    A newly installed/updated mod is enabled by default.

    Oh yeah, forgot about that.

    Also Stuart I had to mention this to you, you must make the client side icon mod a dependancy of the server mod, at the moment it isn't..

    Also an icon would be good for the mod I'd imagine, how about an edited version of this, only just the S?

    V 1.2 released!

    Tweaked AI
    Made anti-nuke launchers less stupid.
    Fixed Obliterator not being transportable.
    Sunfish and Seabass are now transportable
    Orbital lander can pick up coms again, increased cargo capacity by 1.
    Teleporters can no longer be built by orbital fabbers.
    All laser defenses can now target air.
    Nerfed clobberer.
    Bot wreckage HP increased to 2.5.
    Reduced peregrine cost by 120.
    Made walls buildable by all fabs except for orbital fab.
    Tweaked rocket defense tower description
    Buffed rocket defense tower range and damage.
    Uber cannon now one shots commanders.
    Nerfed missile offense tower RoF.
    Gave orbital units arrival cooldown.
    Jigs no longer produce a stupid amount of energy.
    Fixed some commanders being derped.
    Buffed skitter damage by 20
    Increased skitter HP by 20
    Increased boom HP by 20
    Tactical missile trails teamcolored.
    Radar Satellite lasers secondary.
    Radar Satellite renamed to Wasted Metal
    Made Riot Laser Defense Towers not stupidly terribad.
    Increased leveler cost by 50, nerfed HP by 300.
    Reduced Armored Metal Extractor cost by 150.
    Fixed transports so that both types are balanced (Finally !!!Shift-1)
    Dragonfly only fires one bullet per muzzle instead of two.
    Holkins now fires high-arc projectiles instead of low arc (Should fix the assorted problems it had)
    Buffed Smasher torpedos.
    Tweaked icons for Thumper, Seabass, Riot Laser Defense Tower, Sniper Defense Tower, Solar Array, Vanguard
    Sunfish now has a jet effect as it moves (Thanks @burntcustard!)
    Slowed down all laser defense tower lasers.
    BACON fab and gun turrets move independantly.
    Skitter model now has a visible weapon.
    Nerfed BACON cost by 50, HP by 300.
    Air scout is now (stupidly?) fast.
    Stingray missile damage nerfed by 400.
    Stinger now fires AoE missiles instead of flak.
    Increased fab bot HP by 100, increased fab vehicle HP by 150.
    Laser commander uber cannon now has helix.
    Missile commander uber cannon now has helix.
    Sniper laser fire now has helix.
    Apocalypse Apparatus weapons now properly rotate at the same speed.
    Uber commander primary effect changed to mini uber-cannon.
    Made Hunter and Laser Defense Tower energy usage significant.

    Possibly more tweaks that I'm too lazy to find right now. :p

    1.3 will be a naval focused update.

    Updated to 1.25!

    Holkins health is no longer ridiculous.
    Vehicle Factory now uses old bot factory model in preparation for Statera 1.3. This does break area build with them. We are looking into a fix. *cough* @cola_colin 90 degree rotation script pl0x*cough*
    Uber Cannon uses more energy, drains at a faster rate.
    Hornet now has double the payload and reloads at twice the previous rate.
    Fixed missile commander weapons being broken.
    Rocket turrets can attack air again.
    Skitter is now amphibious.
    Textures from @zx0 overhauled, now reflect light and look proper when building.
    Sniper laser defense tower now uses more energy.
    Strider has new animation, should be transportable now.
    Astreaus and Vanguard should have an easier time picking up multiple units now.
    Stingray renamed to barracuda, uses different model.
    New aircraft carrier unit, proteus. Fabricates aircraft and repairs aircraft with a long ranged lathe (energy inefficent though)
    Naval factory health is no longer insane.
    Hummingbird and Peregrine have new animations.

    Mods weren't shown by default on the server list in the past; now they are. We'll hopefully be seeing a lot more modded games, I believe we already do. :p

    well im sick of base game so hoping mods can save this game...but they cant unless people are actually dling & hosting it which ATM are not.

    Pivo, your arguments are akin to saying that "I can't play the game because there aren't any lobbies up".

    Want Statera games to be made? Host them yourself!

    What good is that if the people currently online do not have the mods..just sitting there with empty game...

    Anyone can see and join the game. You don't need mods to play. I hosted 5 or so 10 player modded FFAs yesterday which all got filled reasonably quickly.
