Build.js question

    in the build.js file, there is the giant list of units that can be built and which slot they take up, and we see someting like this:

    Code:
                "/pa/units/orbital/mining_platform/mining_platform.json": ["orbital", 8],
    So I was wondering, about the little "orbital" slot at the end, does it matter what we put in there? In other words, can we make our own slots? I know they correspond with how it's sorted on the UI ingame, but is it possible?

    Well, after a bit of experimenting, it turns out you can't. This kind of limits the amount of units we can add to the game, seeing as the maximum amount of orbital units + orbital structures, is apparently 15.

    EDIT: Scratch that, apparently you can, though it won't have a hotkey. I just didn't see it before.

    What does the 8 at the end signify? Because if it's 8/15 isn't there something you can edit to make it 8/150 or something?

    I believe if you start a new paragraph, starting at 1 it may make a new build bar for it. Haven't tested, if that doesn't work, do it again, but also use one of the extra UNITTYPEs in both the orbital factory and your new unit.

    Nope.

    8 is actually slot 9 since there's a slot 0.

    @squishypon3 Nope sorry afraid it doesn't work that way unit types are something different.

    The build bar is a grid, starting at zero and going up to 14 I believe. Zero being top left, 14- bottom right

    Making a new paragraph of of them with the unit starting at 0 should work, it'll just create en other window.

    Also, UNITTYPE does matter, otherwise it won't appear in the ui.

    I actually messed it up, because I forgot to start at zero :p

    Edit: I think what you suggested is impossible.

    Note that we should be able to mod the UI for this, it's just that nobody's bothered to try and figure out how.
