    Hello,

today I have installed my new asus gtx 970. Before that, the game ran really fine. I allready tryed reinstalling the game, but the game has a unplayable performance. If I use higher graphic setting, the game starts directly with a black screen.
Is this a known issue with the new nvidia gtx 900 series? Can it be possible that the game chooses the Intel hd 4000 (on my Desktop? oO)? How can i check/Change that?

    yours sincerely
    Tim Gibson

sounds like a driver problem, van you verify that your driver is up to date

If the game took your hd 4000 it would still run ;)

It does indeed sound like driver problems, I would try updating the nvidia drivers and see if this works.

No worries. There is a 95% chance it just needs more up to date drivers.

@Syr3Zz: Just get the GeForce experience. It'll keep your drivers up to date for you. You get can it from NVidia.

I know, but driver releases arenĀ“t that quite often...
...still hoping for that friend that the TE is just using already outdated drivers!

Please post a dxdiag so we can double check what driver you are running...

    Here is the DxDiag file.

Drivers are up to date. Maybe they are pretty bad, because the card is pretty new.

I've heard that trouble can occur with a custom DPI setting and according to your DxDiag.txt:
Could you try setting it to 100% again and see if that makes a difference? Do you still get a black screen with higher settings then?

I have a 970 and the game works great for me.
Did you do a clean driver reinstall after you upgraded? If not then you should.
Have you tried any other games to see if the performance is bad? It might be a bad card.

True could be a bad card, if you try fresh driver install and confirm your power supply has the juice to support your rig, then you are leaning towards heat or faulty card.

The power supply is a corsair gs 700. 700w should be enough, especially with the low power consumption of the 900 series.
I tryed a driver uninstaller to be sure i havent forget something, by manually uninstalling the old drivers. Still the same problem.
It is like 1 to 2 FPS. strg/ctrl-j hasnt worked, maybe because graphics are bugged.

Are outdated drivers even a thing for 970s yet?

If you update from an older nvidia card and don't have the driver supporting the 970 card I guess.

    !!! Problem solved !!!

GTX 970 can't handle 32 GB RAM. I just removed 16GB and now everything works fine. -.-

Found a similar problem on Nvidia-Forums. I would post the thread, if the forum wouldn't reject it.
