    Hello,
its funny that I say this, because I'm usually the one who pirates everything from torrents, but I care about this game, so look.

    [Moderator: link removed]

There was never actually single working PA torrent until now, with the release of the offline play, CODEX somehow managed to get it working pirated, and those guys almost never fail to pirate games.

Uber you must act quickly and report those torrents, admins of the website will block them ;)

    Well, that was quick.
    EDIT: It's on TPB, too.
Nothing Uber can really do, can't stop pirates no matter how hard you try.

Keep in mind, piracy is usually insanely fast.
My favourite example is of Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition, which was being torrented two days before release.

How to minimise piracy of your game:

Make your game good so people think it's worth money.

The only solace I find in this... is that every 2 weeks... they will have to find and download yet another copy... over and over...

...May it annoy them to a well deserved grave.

Seriously, I hope more people buy the game to get matchmaking on playfab at least, you know, when they are done being asshats and using a pirated copy...

Probably not the best idea to link directly to the torrents on the official forums. I've made a note of the link and sent it to Uber, though they're probably already well aware.

Again, updating it frequently renders it as "a snapshot", that either people would play the old version singleplayer or with other people with the exact same old version, or they would have to refind links to newer versions every update.

Eventually, if they actually grow fond of it, it might be worth the hassle to buy it, even if on sale perhaps.

Given the reviews the game got, I'm not sure this'll be particularly detrimental. If anything, it may increase sales when people try the pirate copy and find out what the game's really like. The reviews I've seen have been so full of inaccuracies, personal agendas, inability to try more than a couple of hours of play, etc.

    Still gets pirated regardless.

Pretty sure Shadow of Mordor is pirated already.

There is no way to stop piracy, though I know ya didn't say that. However, there is no guaranteed way to minimise piracy either. I've met enough people over the years (warning: anecdotal evidence :p) who literally justify piracy as a way to try a game before maybe deciding to buy it.

(in the vast majority of cases, they don't bother buying it, because they already have the whole game)

    that's the idea guys.

no use crying over spilt milk.

We all knew this day would come and the devs first of all. But I think they are embracing this open arms as in the end it's a channel through witch the community also grows.

(I know I'm driving an idea that's tough to swallow but please bear with me, I'll explain it more in detail if need be)

plus they'll have to re-crack it for every single new juicy update. (even more reason to update often !!! :p )

It boggles my mind when that happens. (But makes for great fodder in DRM arguments.)

It was even one of the stated reasons why offline wasn't being worked on in beta, and clearly a smart one.

Um, that's the whole point of no DRM guys - the idea is that it's worth more to you to be a paying, supportive customer, than someone who has to chase PA updates from a torrent site each time.

    Big whoop.

It´s not the biggest problem as long as that version doesn´t have online multiplayer access...
...and if to choose between AlwaysOn and no crack released or DRM-free and partCrack released, I´d always choose the later one!
