You can scale them down. They just push up the size of the mod by 50%. Lots of commanders in the game.

Hopefully when we get offline mode we can push huge mods to the server without worrying!

LOVE this! The big units in Elodea's mod look amazing. I love that we can now have a mix of teeny tiny and huge units.

O.O Awsome, this is what PA should be. I look forward to rescaling units with respect to one another. Also, its interesting to note that rescaling means an effective multiplier on planet diameter, so the smaller we can push that number without breaking the game logic, the greater the gain.

    Edit:
Been playing with the .4 scaling mod with PAMM, some comments:
Building arrays need their margins redone.
Buildings need to have their lighting effects rescaled.
    The bloom factor needs adjustment.
The amount of distance between units in formations needs to be reduced (Not to the density of vanilla though, some space for misses to go by would be nice.)
Unit speed needs to be scaled with the units.
Unit range needs rescaling. (I wouldn't reduce it by the same factor, some actual ranged play would be nice so scaling it by 1/2 of the base scale factor sounds good.)
Trees should be rescaled as well.
The Land->Water transition depth needs to be reduced by the scaling factor.
The minimum camera altitude needs to be decreased.
The camera pitch should flatten out with respect to the planetary tangent at its location for a better view of local battlefields.

Conclusion: Great work so far, lots of little things to clean up though. Also, .05 scaling factor for the win!

Is it possible to only scale the commander using a client mod?
