The "Uber Help Me My Mod Broke" thread.

    Just post if your mod's broken server-side and you have no idea why.


    Statera Galactic War Edition is broken. Building a rocket defense tower causes a server crash for some reason. No idea what broke.

    Note: The whole mod might be broken anyhow. Galactic war mods have been breaking lately due to an update. I never use GW so I haven't tested to see if Statera GW is broken by it.

    And this is why I don't bother trying to mod a game before proper support/tools/docs have come out. I feel for you bro.

    You're missing out on the challenge. Though it would be cool of Uber to give us access to server logs...

    Just got done watching the highest AI level... anything besides 1v1 single planet rush the AI just falls flat on its face... I had rogue commanders walking around in circles on an enemy planet with no less then 3 well established AI's (they just ignored the enemy commander for no reason). Most of the time the AI doesn't saturate the planet with metal extractors/spam out energy even if they are left untouched for 30+ minutes. Not to mention the random patrols of units walking randomly hoping to find something to shoot.

    I still have yet to see an AI actually USE their hailleys.. or even build a anti nuke to protect their commander!

    The game always ends in a single or double nuke snipe (after literally HOURS), with most of the AIs just bumbling about in circles and building haillies that they won't use with 2-4 constructors (wtf??)

    Sigh... the AI is SO broken i'm worried that we won't even be able to fix it even if we have full access to most of the AI code (NOT likely).

    ****.. there goes any sort of single player mod out the window.

    We already have access to the ai code.

    We have access to the AI configuration files, not the code.

    What we have access to:

    Neural Network Data

    Platoon Management Data

    AI build conditions

    Some ratio files.


    Keep in mind that some pretty extensive enhancements were made to the TA AI despite TA only allowing modifications to AI build priorities and build count restrictions.
