highlight possible starting planets in lobby

In the lobby possible starting planets should be highlighted on the system layout picture so we can STRATEGIZE from the gates instead of flying blind. Anytime one plays on new system this key feature would help beyond measure.

I'm very hesitant to use mods, as I just got my cpu to actually play pa, after months of not being able to do so, and don't want to risk anything that could possibly cause another issue, so I am begging for it to be implemented by uber.

Pa is my favorite game to date so I'll be sticking with uber official stuff for a long time till I get cash for another cpu, simply can't risk anything that could deny my pa fix.

The mods won't permanently break your PA. If you have any trouble with them you can simply turn them off or uninstall them. The mod manager makes it really easy to manage them and the support in the mods section of the forums is top notch so I don;t think you have too much to worry about.

Try the system detail mod, hovering your mouse cursor over the starting planets gives you lots of info, inc. if they are starters.

Considering that he just managed to get his computer to work again, it could be a very simple thing that could break his computers ability to play PA (I know this from a similiar experience, old computers are just insufferable pain-in-the-asses)

Be considerate & quit trying to convince him to use a mod when he's already said no (suggestion raping... Lol).

This is true and yet, mods can be disabled or uninstalled safely.

There is not much anything else that can be suggested then, other than turning the thread in "Uber please implement X" and people saying +1 / like

If you have trouble with a mod you can just turn it off. Your computer won't explode.

350 plus hours of researching, upgrading,changing operating systems,hunting through walls of code to fix drivers, giving up,going to other games,coming back, finally succeeding, have made me absent from pa for months.

My wife and I are in school,I work full time, have beautiful infant, so I won't be able to afford new rig for a few years.

I can't risk same situation happening again cuz I can't wait on uber to make an already wonderful gaming experience better.

I can play larg multiplayer system games on mid graphics flawlessly, 1v1 on high and won't risk losing my favorite game again.

I thin my cowardess is understandable and that's why I request uber for official game updates instead of trusting mods.

And when they update the game to include your suggestion and that makes the game no longer work on your computer? What then?

Download and try the mod. Or go away.

Begging for something farfetched, that mod is a vastly more likely solution.

It is like, begging power to go from the wall to my computer, without a wire, because I don't want to get a wire. It proooobably will not happen without the wire, beg or not the wire is likely the only way it will happen.

Now, in this case I agree with you, starting planet being visual from lobby, is a very reasonable request from gameplay experience, which is what playing a game and submitting feedback is about. Bottom line: I too submit that this should be added to vanilla.
