Hey guys, I wannt to run the PA launcher, but it did not start. I have no idea what is wrong... Maybe you have a reason for it? I hope you can help my. Here is my DxDiag.txt data. Blacky
You'll need the latest Intel graphics drivers. The ones you have are quite old. You can download them here. (Oh, it seems I am already helping you in the German forum )
I still asked for Help in the German forum, but right now I have no solution... Until now I updated my graphic-cards. This is my new dxdialg
Those drivers are still out of date... HD4000 has much newer drivers than 2013 (from like last month I think)... You'll need to download them from: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&ProdId=3712 Note there are 2 downloads- try the .exe ones first. If they don't work (they might not on a laptop) then you'll need to get the .zip version instead, and then follow the instructions here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558749190911446231/
I've already tried, but without success, because the intel card is trying to update by itself. The problem, it updates itself to the older version from the year 2013. But even if the new version is installed for a short time, the launcher does not start. I may say so, the firewall is configured (9000 -9100 free) graphic driver updated as much as possible, and direct x should also up to date. Any more ideas?
Right now firewall is checked, graphic drivers are updated ( nvidia is the priority one and not intel), direct x is installed and also the new sound-graphics. This is my newest dxdiag data. Maybe there is something else. I hope you can find the misstake.
I'm a bit concerned that the Nvidia card *isn't* listed in your DxDiag. That is why I was recommending you update the Intel drivers. It sounds like there is a problem somewhere as usually DxDiag should list *both* cards... Also the Intel HD drivers should update. There is definitely something wrong, perhaps you need to uninstall the Nvidia drivers, update the Intel HD drivers, then reinstall the Nvidia ones (I'm thinking the Nvidia 'Optimus' is interfering with the driver install?). I'm guessing here though...
Also just a thought, when did you download the installer from Uber? They have recently (like in the last day or so) updated the launcher due to some problems so maybe it's worth trying downloading it again, just in case you've got the broken one?
So nothing worked until now... so I try to explain what I have done until now. 1. I installed this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 2. I searched for new driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx and installed it. 3. I searched for new drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx and installed it. 4. Of course I installed new sound card drivers ( it was the official page but I don not have the page) 5. Firewall is open from 9000 - 9100 and were is my mistake?
This *should work*. The issue I was commenting on- in your 'DX Diag' you supplied, it *doesn't mentioned* an Nvidia GPU at all. This is what is concerning me, it *should* show up. You also mentioned that the *new Intel HD drivers* wont install. I think this may be down to nVidia 'Optimus' causing problems. What I think *might* help: 1: Uninstall all the nVidia display drivers completely. 2: Install the latest Intel HD drivers 3: Test PA (PA should work fine on Intel HD just for a test, if the game loads we know we've solved part of your problem). 4: Install the latest nVidia drivers again 5: Test PA again... This will help clarify what's going on. As before I think you'll need to use the 'zip' drivers from Intel and follow the instructions in the earlier link....
The first step is done, i have no nvidia on my system. then i started an update and now i still have an old intel version. (launcher did not start). When i go to the intel page and let him search an new driver he shows me on and when i download it and whant to install it, computer says: installation is aborted because your computer is not validated for this software. Information from the intel page: Current Driver Installed 10.18.10.3308 Newer Driver Available: 15.33.22.64.3621 (10.18.10.3621) There this did not work, first I will install the invidia driver again... ( of course from the mainpage...)
Ok, so your problem is the installer. As I stated you have to manually install it using the .zip download! Download the ".zip" driver from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&ProdId=3712 (this is the version you mention). Then follow the instructions here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558749190911446231/ Due to you using a laptop, the auto install won't work for some reason That is why you have to use the manual method rather than the installer. Laptops are a pain in the **** for drivers unfortunately.
I tried this by myself... but no success. Right now I am trying to install the launcher: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/alternative-go-launcher-build-for-windows.59287/ I hope it works, if not we will see....
If this doesn't work do you happen to have a Steam account? Many people with launcher problems were ok to launch via Steam so that may be worth a look. Let me know how you get on with the Go Launcher though
