I've seen that one before, I've also seen a planet called "SR388" but I'm not sure if that's an intended Metroid Easter egg or just a coincidence.

The game was made by a bunch of other game nerds, I'd bet a lot of money that it was intentional.

I have seen planet names like "Klendathu" (Starship Troopers),"Northwind" (example MS-SQL Database), Bob (Titan AE) and similar.
And then there is the thing with the Xziphid sounding a bit familiar:

Have any of you guys seen the the water hole on a desert planet before?

Basically, there can be crater-like cracks on desert planets and I've seen one with water. It looks very picturesque.
I don't know how rare they are but i've only seen it once...

You can create those in designer easily. Up temperature, try another seed if dont have crack, up water level, done
