Guys, i try to change my ingame name but it does not change in any way. I change it through the function in game but both in game and once restarted, the name reported is still the old one....is there any effective way to change it?
If you're on Steam I think the steam name overwrites it. Also there have been some problems recently where the display name doesn't seem to work properly.
You can fix this by editing the file here \Planetary Annihilation\media\ui\main\game\start\start.js Line 144 Change to -> var bestName = self.displayName() || self.uberName();
ok thanks...in the meanwhile i just LINKED the uberent account to steam and switched the name in steam. Tonight i'll see if it's ok this way otherwise i will do what you suggested. Thanks in the meanwhile
There is also a bug in the game where changing your Display name reverts it back to your username. We are working to resolve this.
Partially fixed. It was not always reverting. But if you started the game via teh uber launcher (and propably got logged in by it too), the name is still reverting. Propably only happens due to automatic login from the Uber launcher,
Yah, like zgrssd said.... it's sort of working, but it's still not working the way it is intended to work. I guess you could say it's working differently
