PA Metacritic reviews

How does the critic reviews works ? Does the site need to submit it to metacritic ?
Or just the translated conclusion ?
I thought the French one on Gamekult wasn't appearing because it was only referencing english reviews (which would be understandable), but since there is a German one, I am confused.

Wow, those critic reviews are quite mixed.

"Quarter To Three" seems do not realize that they are criticizing the games CORE ideas -.-

Round maps are bland; one faction; no tech tree. "It instead is so in love with its concept, which isn’t very good in the first place, that it never gets around to the vital business of being a good game."

Somebody's bitter.

Looking at the ratings this reviewer submitted to other games makes it obvious how serious he is to take:
All positive ratings have gotten the full 100 points score...

Just compare his good/mixed/bad ratio of reviews with the other two. He is clearly on the "totally love it" or "totally hatge it" side. There seems to be no middle ground for him.

I wondered why QuarterToThree was considered a proper critic review because it mostly looks like an amateur blog. It doesn't get a huge amount of traffic, however it certainly gets some and the forums seem pretty big.

Turns out he's made quite a few reviews, and I noticed he gave Banished a 1 star also (seriously?). Looked through the comments on Banished and found one that really hit the nail on the head regarding Tom Chick:

Well somebody has to make money off reviews that cater people that just want to see the reviewed games burn.

so either simply incompetent or a troll reviewer?

Well there was another critic 'review' so that makes things more interesting as its given an 80, its written in German but i must say Google Translate is getting really good now ^^ #communicationage

Also, just noticed that that Quarter to Three guy's 'review' (opinionated rant) gets its score added to Metacritic? Ye Gods whatever happened to quality control.

It died when stupid people became louder than smarter people.

An idiot shouting will always be heard by more than a reasonable man discussing.

Not bad, but I had to inform people that the reviewer didn't mention pip or notifications, both which reduced the level of mental taxation that he seemed to suffer from. That and area commands, but you covered that

6/10 is CATASTROPHIC!
I'd reckon there's plenty of people who will dismiss ANY game beneath 7/10 as amateur garbage.

Ow that right, people are right bastards.

People who read Eurogamer won't, at least I don't when I see a 6/10 from them.

And in the comments it isn't too bad, people are generally positive and receptive to further information. Unlike some places...

How is 6/10 something positive for a game made by people who brought us TA?
