I can only play one game a day, or my *** gets sore from all the rape. Please let me play with people my skill level, and implement matchmaking. Otherwise I wasted my money.

Also, take your time to learn what all does what, by playing a game vs AI, starting with a 0.4 eco modifier on the AI at first, and building up to a 0.7 eco, and then 3 1.0 AIs, maybe get 2 other players to fight 5 1.0 ais.

If you can get used to first-minute raiding, you can be ready to defend against first minute raiding, and if you can quickly expand and establish large forces I can't imagine why you can't be a threat to half other players.

An official ladder and matchmaking will be added soon.

I disagree, Matchmaking can be delayed....(and because we have PA stats) and doesnt seem critical to the game for a lot of people,

other things though, like pathfinding, optimization, and especially offline mode seem much more in demand.

However if you are struggling against opponents, try team games with shared armies and go one specific route like (ill build the air or ill build the economy) that sort of thing usually helps, a lot of new players are either playing vs AI or in team-games while the more skilled players do 1v1

Then there are the players in PA-Stats, your almost guaranteed a formidable foe lol...but still an excellent step once you have mastered the basics and sorts.

Relying on a mod for an added feature inside a game is not good from a marketing standpoint.

The release should have been delayed, at least where everything that has been going around for the past few weeks is implemented. Except the other stuff, like a unit canon.

I'm getting a bit sick of some of these "The game shouldn't have released without xxx" threads. Of course I agree with some of them, but the games out now. There's no point saying this because the game is already out, and unless you have a time machine it is impossible to take it out of release now.

All we can do is ask Uber that the features be added fairly soon, instead of complaining about what should have been in the release.

This could be a variant on the "if they really wanted to succeed" 'argument'.
Basically saying "if they wanted to succeed, they would have launched later". It is at least as non-sensical and pointless as the "if they wanted to succeed" argument.

And defeated with the same counter:
    http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscroll...a_zenimax_doesnt_actually_want_their_game_to/

Moddability WAS a marketing point (as opposed to matchmaking). Moddabiltiy cost them a lot of work (flexbility is always less effective then non-flexbility in programming).
Work they now lack for a built in ladder and offline mode. Not using the parts they did provide to compensate for the features that are not ready yet is just stupid.

If it works and you would be interested you would just jump at the solution, not argue why it is "bad"/"not ideal"/"should be better".
If this is about complaining, you will find something to complain about. And if it is the color sceme of the UI.

You guys have good intentions, thank you.

But the game is ultimately going to fail if you have to both download 3 mods and practice vs ai for a few days before you can enjoy playing with other people.

They need to create MM ASAP.

So, if players have to download a mod manager (and IT downloads everything else), AND take time to learn to play a game they have never played before, the game will fail?

Well, thats it then, game over, ladies and gentlemen, game over, we lose, it's all for not, all of it is wasted, woe is us, woe. is. us.!

Seriously, when I get ANY new game, I have to spend a day actually figuring out how to play it. Then, back in the day the Online Components to a game was always on a seperate disk, circa Red Alert 2 Westwood Online or WOL components, or C&C Renegade using same components, or Call of Duty 1 using another disk like it were the same game assets booted up in a different plugin.

I sincerely doubt you have any merit besides cheap worlds, backing up that players commited enough to play multiplayer won't opt to use a mod to do so. Guess what? Cows like to fart on Wednesdays because it prevents umbrellas from taking over the world. Words really are cheap, I just threw together 15 of them right there, any comment to that?

A "the game is doomed" sayer. I haven't seen one for 15 minutes, guess it was time for another one.

Please stop doing that for a while. I really don't need a soporific right now and you won't get anybody here riled up over something as obvious as that.

He just tells the truth, there is no spot for casual players with the current implementation.

    Single player? Normal difficulty. :p

Just for reference, most people who play RTS games play the single player or ai skirmishes. Just check the replay list in fact. :p

Best idea for you is to create your game and name it noob 1v1.

I never said it was the solution, but if he wants a ladder/matchmaking... There he goes! :p
